Questions & Answers

I have an aftermarket header and a C4 transmission on a 1978 Ford 302 will this fit?

With a 75 C4 transmission behind it, I used it on a 79 302 block. For my application, I used patriot block hugger headers. I did not have an easy time fitting them with the block hugger however, they work If you use a long tube header, there is likely to be plenty of room.

Do you think this would fit an automatic, I have a ski antique with a 351 motor?

I'm here. The manual states that this starter will fit the automatic thanks, Jamie

This fits Ford Explorer XLT 5 models from 1998 to 2004. A V8 engine with zero horsepower?

Because your explorer is an automatic model, I can't help you with that. Plus, the wiring in your explorer The starter should be replaced by a factory replacement.

Could this fit in a 1965 Ford Mustang with a 302 small block, an AOD transmission, and 164 teeth on the ?

The ford 363 small block (302 basement) and the Tremec TKO500 are being used. It's not clear how many teeth there are on the flywheel.

It has no trouble turning over a 427w
5/5

I got a new 427 w block for my 351w block (stroked to 451). So far, so good. An approximate compression ratio of 11 is used As far as the starter is concerned, it is much better than the old, exhausted stock starter that grinded I'm not concerned about heat soak because it's at a good distance from the headers, too.

During the first three months, starter lasted only
3/5

I found it to be ok, but the installation only lasted for three months and then I rarely drove my car anymore. It was taken to the mechanic who tested it and found it was very slow to spin.

the kind of cranking power you get with this motor! It's easy to install, and you can use it all day long Compared to stock replacement, there is a significant difference at night.

You did a good job of starting
5/5

I was having trouble starting my OEM car. As soon as I plugged this one in, it fired up. Every dollar spent is worth it.

The 65 Mustang was having issues with the starter not catching the flywheel, so this was an excellent fix
5/5

Even though this starter was more expensive than I typically pay for a starter, I was able to finish her without any issue. An investment that will continue to pay off for a long time.
