This is an excellent, low-cost deck bridge. I will make the following observation: If you don't have a dial indicator, it lacks the two side screws needed to clamp a caliper to the side. But I figured it wouldn't; some photos show it, while others don't. But, just to be clear, there were only three vertical holes for a dial indicator. br>Anyway, it's less expensive than the Proform model, and most blocks these days are aluminum, so the magnets aren't required. br>I'm satisfied with my purchase, and it served its purpose at an affordable price.
To determine the protrusion of a piston, this device is used. The finish is nice, there are no machining remnants, and it is simple to use.
The device worked, but a magnetic base would be beneficial.

This was the tool I used to determine the clearance between the deck and the ground. NO, it is not equipped with magnets; magnets are unnecessary and, in my opinion, could result in an unstable measuring platform. This allowed me to determine the correct head gasket for a SBC 350 by using a steady and consistent point of measurement. Thank you very much!.
