This is not the case, according to my understanding. There are two types of 500 the 500e and the 500. There is a difference in the setup of an Abarth.

In less than an hour, I was able to figure it out with the instructions. I imagine that the benefits will be more than I had anticipated from the bar on my car. I can now corner my Fiat at approximately 1/3 faster speed than I was able to before installing sway bars. Now, I am able to drive at 60mph or higher in corners where I used to just be able to go 45mph! Whenever I take a corner, I am still amazed, no matter how fast I turn. Furthermore, the sway bar allows my wife to drive the car in an emergency situation with greater ease as the car will react far more quickly. You should get this sway bar if you have a Fiat 500 and you are tired of leaning and understeering in corners.
Don't waste any more time on debating if this is a good fit for your Fiat 500 Pop, Sport, or Turbo. There is a LARGE difference if you do this. The twitchy feeling in the rear is gone In that timeframe. There is a noticeable difference in turning, as well as the ability to hold corners at a much higher speed, and the ride is more solid in every situation. The only negative is that there are none. The handling has been completely changed With this set up and the upgraded front chassis braces, you will have an extremely smooth ride. Basically the only caveat is that you will need to raise the rear axle since you will be drilling a new mounting bracket to secure it. You may want to consider hiring someone to install the jack if you can't reach it (you need a tall enough jack/jack stands).
It's very difficult to install on your own, and I highly recommend that you hire professionals to do it for you. Despite having to buy two drills, it took me less than an hour to make it. The thin one I used for marking the whole thing, and the thicker one to finish it. Having a lifter would have made it way easier to jack up the car, as it must sit at a high angle. It was still difficult since I used two jacks and had to pile them on top of platforms because of space restrictions. In case you decide to do it yourself, you should use the smallest size drill as opposed to the long ones to have more space. Although there was a noticeable improvement in ride quality and the body panels look great under the car, I was a little disappointed because I thought the bar could be seen from the rear, but the bar is angled inward rather than forward toward the bumper so you cannot see it from the rear. However, the quality and finish of the product are great.
The fitting is perfect and the installation is easy. Suddenly, my Fiat 500T's handling went from shaky and unstable at the rear end to being planted and precise when I went around turns. I think it might be time to change the front anti-roll bar. Now that everything is put together, we'll be able to fix the sway bar and shocks. My heart sighs.
This is a great accessory for Fiat 500 turbos and pops if you have one! You'll notice an enormous improvement in handling and the stock rear will no longer bounce or twitch. Even when you are not pushing yourself to the limit, you see great improvement. Unless you are an expert mechanic, you will be able to install it alone.
Adding this to a 500e would be a great choice A big part of the car's problems is massive understeer, and the new tweaks fix that. The other issue is a total lack of rebound dampening. Under the stock suspension, this product fits close to the stock suspension without hanging down, and the color and attachment looks factory original.
