A diagram of your stock suspension measurements is attached to help you compare it Using my lift as a reference, it The numbers 5 and 11 indicate the lengths of clothes. A shock length of 5" and a spring length of 5", It is well known that the advertised lift of kits will vary based on accessories installed on a vehicle, and other measurement systems could also be affected by tire size, tread depth, etc. This method is a convenient way to standardize lift measurements. I set the front sway bar to the shortest setting, and it was perfectly level. In order to complete installation, you will need two things This is 1. A blue thread locker is shown in Figure 2. It is necessary to regularly grease the 4 bushings via the zerk fittings (under the red caps) with a grease gun after applying thread locker to the mounting pins. Link oil allows the links to operate quietly but smoothly (when properly lubricated). You will also find that they are easy to install and remove (just make sure you are on level ground, and that the steering wheel is in the center so that it is easy to reach). For me, hand tools were used to install the system in 30 minutes.
Please lift your feet no more than 5 or 6 inches! Jeep Jk models with a version 2 of this part are compatible with this part. The lift should be between 5 and 6 inches. JKS2030 is the part number you need for stock to 3 inch lifts. There is about 3 inches too much length on this part (JKS2034), so it cannot be used on non-round surfaces Vehicles that have been raised. It's a great piece of construction and it works incredibly well, just make sure you order the right part when ordering this product!.
I would highly recommend the JKS product. It is easy to install and the instructions are good. Go grease them, and have a good time. The front fenders fit my 35 inch BFGs now, and I were able to get 19 inches of uptravel on the MetalCloak ramp at Jeep Beach over the weekend. The swaybar is definitely disconnected, so there's a lot more It appears that some of the bushings on this product have failed after only one year, based on photos I've seen on Jeep forums. There is no question about the bushings being made out of softer material I am than The time and distance will tell how they will perform, so I will keep an eye on them. Therefore, the bushings are an inexpensive item to replace, and they are easy to replace. Unless you need retention lanyards, DO NOT buy them from JKS. As soon as I went offroad after installing the clips, both of them broke. Do not be lazy like I was, just tack up something yourself using robust(ier) materials in the same way.
Despite their size, these are very strong and easy to handle. All you have to do is pull the pins, and the device is detached. If you want to fix the sway bar itself, just secure it Only thing I would suggest is that the end pieces should be squared off so that someone can tighten it with a wrench. By putting a small diameter screwdriver into the hole, they want you to hold the pin from rotating while you torque it. It may be difficult to find a small diameter screwdriver. As a result of the install, I bent quite a few. This is a very nice disconnect, and as long as I keep it greased, it will last for a long time.
With a 4 inch lift, I installed these on a 2011 Jeep Wrangler 2 door. In case you were in the market for these, get Make sure you buy the good ones, instead of the cheap ones that rattle, make noise and wear out quickly in the bushings. These are adjustable, serviceable, and a great buy. It is well worth it to spend a little more. Before you hit the trail, you can easily put them on and take them off. In order to compensate for the extra suspension travel, your brake lines would definitely need to be extended.
I am very pleased with this product. I installed the installation straightforwardly. The only thing to consider was the length of As soon as the suspension links are removed, a much wider range of travel is available. Remove the disconnects from your brake lines and jack up the front of your vehicle to check the brake lines. You will be able to tell whether your brake line is long enough at full extension. The ports should be on either side (mine weren't), so you'll need to remove the lines from the lower metal holders. Use a claw hammer to pry the door open (this is not an easy task). After the lines were moved, I used the Teraflex brake line holders ( TeraFlex 1101255 JK Front Brake Line Anchor ) to hold the lines behind the shocks.
I am in love with these. The other linkages should be taken out and replaced with those. It takes about 2 minutes to take them off and 5 minutes to put them They can be independently adjusted so if your car leans you can have them differ in length so the sway bar is not under tension at rest. I had heard they were a bit loud, is that true? As you can see, the pins are very tightly pressed. I can't imagine how they could make noise. Although you should be careful when bending the rings on the pins all the way around, as the metal is soft and will pop out and damage the holes in which they are embedded. A pop out is now frequent in one of mine. Though I put them on/take them off all the time and am delighted with them, I wouldn't give them a star for it.
When I realized I needed some quick disco's as I was getting ready for a trail run in my 2010 Jeep JKU, I took them out of the truck. A quick search on the web uncovered a lot of discussion forums and online reviews that pointed to these JKS discos. After ordering them and setting them up, I had them installed in about two hours. I have a tip for you. When you install the sway bar, TWOD your existing end links must be disconnected in order to allow the bar to move freely. The socket wrenches would have more room because of that. This would have taken me about 90 minutes if I had done it that way. A SNAP enabled them to be installed and they worked fine. The cornering seems to be a bit better to me. But this may just be Using a 2 with them was effective. The lifts are set at the lowest setting on the AEV Dualsport 5. " lifts. In other words, I would NOT recommend these for any child under 2 years of age. The lift on this product is 5". It will be interesting to see how they fare in the long run. This is easy to connect and unplug. I am very happy with this product.
