There is only one way! Poly is best! My rotten Bilstein junk was replaced by the company - I must express my appreciation We are shocked. I have a rant for you!
I am blown away, Bilstein sells shocks with a lifetime warranty when they do know that the rubber rots and there is no guarantee they will never need replacement Here is the The rubber rotted out of the frame is not covered by the It is because Bilstein uses rubber instead of polymer to sell shocks with a lifetime warranty There is no escaping the fact It rots when rubber is exposed to the elements. Your shock should be sent in for warranty review at your expense based on their warranty. Business America and its BS has got me sick and tired. I was duped by how Bilstein marketed and how they sold junk to me.
It misled me into thinking they would be appropriate for Bilstein 5100 front shocks due to Amazon's "buy these together" feature. This is not the case. It has been determined that part number 9 is the more appropriate number, as found on the Energy Suspension Parts website. The nine are referred to as The There is an I in 8145 that is 9/16 inch. My Ford Ranger broke one of its shock top bushings and I used these to replace it. As other people have said, these are a lot smaller than the original parts. I thought I'd give these a try anyway but it didn't work. I tried two of them on my truck so far (they come in a pack of three) and both were shredded after a few days of For a small car, they may or may not work, but for a small pickup, they should not be used.
They do a good job of deadening sound, but they are not very effective when it comes to soundproofing. The motors on my two garage door openers were fitted with them. When you open a door in your home and are above them in the room, they barely make a difference in sound. As a result, they didn't really work for my application idea. On the other hand, they might be perfect for another application. So, I gave them 3 stars for both the reason that they are excellently made and the quality of their work.
Replacing this item was a good idea. In the picture, you can see that the diameter is smaller and the thickness is a little bit thinner. Here is a picture of the top There is no way you can see it, it's just too small. Still, it fit over the top of the shock post and is holding up Rough Country N95 shock fits well and I haven't had any problems with it.
I installed them on my 99 Jeep Wrangler with a Terra Flex 3in lift, shocks are 9550. They fit perfectly. The squeak in my suspension developed when I over tightened the rubber bushings that came with the lift kit. These were installed several months ago and there has not been any sign of.
These bushings are made from a tough material. I put them in a vise and bore them with a 1/2 dill bit because the inner diameter was undersized for my application. This is awesome! This material impressed me with its toughness, durability, and resilience. It looks like this will work well for a long time to come.
It looked like these spacers were right what I was looking for under the table of my radial arm saw. I have installed them and they are working perfectly with this application now.
