The following are my personal opinions, as I am not a seller on this site With a typical heavy-duty cable cutter, I was able to meet my needs A clamp was used before, however it was striped, and was not as stable as it should have been. By using this tool we were able to do the job much faster and in a much safer way. It is not recommended to use an impact wrench, as I have stripped my expensive C-clamp that way Before the clamps.
That would be a good idea.
There are a lot of uses for these tools and they work very well. I don't know what the underside of your explorer looks like but if you have torsion bar suspension then you should look at your torsion rear adjuster bracket and if this tool works. The rear adjuster bracket must first be removed from the cover of the rear adjuster. As long as you have the tool recommended by Ford, you shouldn't have any problems.
I think maybe. I used it on an '08 Ford Ranger 4x4. I used an air gun and it worked perfectly. The torsion bar needs to be kept under pressure as the keys are taken off, and the new ones need to be attached the same way as the old ones were taken A torsion bar should be 3" round if it is not. One of the best I ever had. Added 5" to the length of the u bolts. They aligned my tires for me with 2 hours of labor from SS tire. On a rack, it should take an hour or so.

This item wasn't used very often and was The product was once installed on a Ford Ranger in 2000. I added a second set of nuts and washers to stabilize the other side of the block, but it still bent. Possibly worth considering this use for one time only. It looked like there was no way I could get the other style over the exhaust side of the frame due to the cat right there, but this one was easier to install there, and OTC's reputation is pretty good for the stuff they sell. Although, I ordered two of these, as the first one was missing a bolt, and the second one was missing the same bolt as well. Both of them had a pack date of March When I reached out to OTC, they were borderline rude, saying that it wasn't their problem they suggested I contact Amazon, even though it was a clear QC issue.

Getting a 2011 Ford Ranger 4x4 is no easy feat. On my 2011 Ford Ranger, I purchased this tool to remove the stock torsion bar keys and install the torsion lift keys. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome! It was much more pressure on the tool during the lifting process, and it showed no signs of binding or bending. In case you are just replacing your torsion bars and using your stock torsion keys, then this tool fits the bill perfectly. To anyone with a Ford Ranger fitted with torsion bars, I would recommend this tool.

Having this tool on hand is essential if you work with torsion bars. In terms of how to use it, the only recommendation I would make is to keep the center screw as short as possible on the pushing end. The result of too tightly screwing it in is that it will lean and will be To compress the piece I used the two outer nuts and it worked really well.

Bosa and today's product are great. They have made taking the stress off of the torsion key so much easier. It would have been preferred if the washers were a little larger and better quality, but other than that I have no complaints. 2002 Ford F150 four wheel drive.

Here are the results after tweaking. I could not find a tool that would work to replace the torsion keys on my 04' Ford Ranger, so I used this. As you can see, I had to add some nuts with washers to keep the top in place because it twisted a bit but added However, I changed the nuts above and below the cross member so they sat above and below the cross member. I rate it 3 stars since I think all of these tools are overpriced, but that's just me. In one case, I had to return the tool from another maker because the cross member, into which the torsion key fits, didn't go even close to wrapping around all the way.

That's a very safe way to do things. Of course, you could use jacks if you wanted, but I believe the risk isn't worth it. It is a very well-engineered product and has a very specific application for Ford trucks. grabs on to a ledge in the upper support and holds tight. The only thing that would be easier is to find a tool to get it out of the LCA. The rust is causing all kinds of problems.

I was in good hands with this tool, it was free of defects and it had a little anti-rust as well It is good to use anti-seize lube to protect the threads from stress. The one I used was.

This tool is the perfect way to level a 5" leveling kit and I'd read several posts on how to install it correctly and decided I'd do it right. I had no trouble with the job thanks to it. The tool is a quality one which I hope to never need again but I am happy to have it in my tool.
