Unbolt the u-bolt from the bottom. bolts remove the bolt from the spring pack and place it in the bottom, then replace it with the new bolt they provide.
The jeep was raised 2 inches above factory height thanks to my use of these.
These were installed on a RE 3 1/2" lift that I own. These can be put in before or after the lift is installed. I'd probably put the leafs in first so I don't have to loosen any spring bolts twice, but either way is fine.
I haven't on my Jeep, though I have used it extensively offroad. To keep them from squeaking, they have rubber pads on them.

I wish I had taken measurements before and after, but I believe 1. 5 - 0" real- The possibility of a global uprising exists. I had a set of brand new Quadratec heavy duty leaf packs that had sagged to below stock and were easily bottoming out over bumps after a few months of hauling some heavy loads. br>br>After installing, I had a few hundred pounds of people in cargo in the back of the Jeep and there was barely any sag. br>br>Easy to install; no need to remove the shackle or front bolts; simply leave the top leaf in place. There were no surprises or issues, but one thing to keep in mind is that you WILL require new U-bolts. Bolts that aren't part of the package. For $10 per bolt, I had these bent at a local truck and suspension shop; you'll need four. I would replace the stock size with at least an 8" U-shaped U-shaped U-shaped U-shaped U-shaped U-shaped U-shaped U-shaped U-shaped Bolts.
This is utter nonsense. This is all because you guys provide the worst hardware for jeeps, and the provided bolt stripped down faster than someone on fire. Garbage parts, this is all because you guys provide the worst hardware for jeeps. Now I'll have to place a special order for another bolt. What are you thinking, Rubicon express, why is this bolt a grade 2? Bolt would not bind the springs together in any way.
The center bolts should be stronger. Tighten the nut if it has become loose. Yes, they had a c- in front of their names. pressed together.
It's a good metal piece. It worked perfectly for me to fix the saggy rear suspension on my Jeep XJ. I had some issues installing it, but I'm chalking it up to user error. Pro tip: You should definitely clamp your spring pack together before tightening the center bolt, as you don't want to strip it out.
Installation bolts are a pain because they strip as soon as you put pressure on them. I was unable to complete my spring pack because of the bolts.
It stiffens it up a lot, but it seems to work.
