Questions & Answers

Is this part compatible with a 2007 Ram ?

It is true. The front end of the 2006 2500 4x4 and the 2008 2500 4x4 are identical.

The diameter of the lip of the bushing that would go into the bar is one inch Is 1/4 inch?

It is a good question. Thank you. It has a diameter of one millimeter where it goes into the eyelet on the Moog K80777. There are 520 inches on this screen.

The track bar on the 2016 Ram 2500 is made by BDS. Will this fit?

If your model year is coming out, Moog should make a kit for it. A 2006 3500 4 x 4 kit was what I used. As soon as you remove the factory bushings, they are super easy to replace

Can these bushings replace the stock bushings on a track bar or are they only for aftermarket use?

The stock track bars are used with them. They may be compatible with aftermarket replacements, but I am not sure.

Bought for Jeep XJ for use on Jeep XJ Cherokee with larger bolt
4/5

Used on Jeep XJ Cherokee with larger bolt. Although the part isn't the correct one, I was swapping a stock track bar into a Jeep that had an aftermarket bar and had a larger hole drilled in the axle mounting bracket upon swapping in the stock bar. Bolt and bushing that came with the car were not sufficient! There was a bit more play in the metal sleeve than a 14mm bolt, so I went with a 9/16 grade 8 bolt and had to drill out the sleeve to fit the larger bolt. I was able to make it fit nicely tight. Furthermore, both sides of the bushing had to be sanded to match the length of the metal sleeve, and then the axle mount fit perfectly. About 120 ft/lbs of torque was applied to the bolt. Looks like it's going to work out Also might be a good idea if your bolt holes in your axle bracket are not round, and you want to try a larger bolt with a rounder.

My loose track bar had been making a clicking noise until I tightened these up
5/5

After using them, my loose track bar that was making popping noises when turning at low speed is now tightened up. You should always make sure that the bolts on your track bar are the right size. You should get one especially if you own a Ram 2007. It could be 14mm, 16mm, or both at the same time. The bushings are 14mm in diameter.

Everything went according to plan
5/5

The fit was tight only because of the Everything went according to plan. There was only a tight fit due to a bend in my mounting bracket from previous installation. I have resolved my death wobble with this method so far. You can also drill out the rubber, knock out the putter metal housing, then through the putter metal housing with a hacksaw if you want to pull the rubber out. It is generally easier to do this than to cut the base metal, but be careful not to cut into it. Visit YouTube to view the video. The 2003 Dodge 2500 4WD.

Fit my 2006 dodge ram 2500 track bars, but it did not fit my 2008 dodge ram 2500 track bars
3/5

There was an issue with the bushing not fitting on my 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 track arm as promised. Earlier that day, I needed to have the bar reinstalled, and I contacted all of the local auto parts stores but all said that they would have to order the correct bushings. The fact that these didn't fit on my track arm put me in a bind, so I had to buy a new track bar from Chrysler to get my truck back on the road the same Check that you've got the correct bushings for your track bar before you buy them. There must be some reason for putting different types of track bars in a single model trick.

The glove fits perfectly
5/5

The bushings look different from those from the factory/OEM, but they are the same size. There had to be a press job to remove the old bushings. It is possible to accomplish this without a press, but I expect it would As soon as the new Moog bushings were pressed out, they fitted perfectly, and I am looking forward to seeing how long they will.

It is a great improvement for track bars
5/5

The new bushings are an improvement to the old ones. In the past, old bushings could not be removed, but the new ones fitted without any trouble. This makes it easier to get rid of slop in worn out bushings as the tolerances are tight. As a result, excellent steering response and accuracy was achieved. As you can see, this does not completely resolve all of the Dodge Ram 2500 steering issues. Before replacing the bushings, I upgrade to the 4th gen steering rack and gearbox. After a new steering system was installed, my truck steers much better than before. A majority of death wobble issues will be solved by this product, not all of them.

My strategy ended up being heating up the factory sleeve and using a punch to round the sleeve into the hole and then pressing it out In terms of getting it out, I struggled mainly with the pressed in sleeve that goes around the bushing, not the one that is inserted into it
5/5

My strategy ended up being heating up the factory sleeve and using a punch to round the sleeve into the hole and then pressing it out In the absence of this step, the bushing would take off and become stuck. I wiped some dish soap on the bushings and they slid into place without any trouble.

Having returned home
3/5

I didn't like that the center metal piece wasn't made of a solid piece and that friction points formed on the bushings, causing them to damage. It was returned to the sender.
