The product is top notch, and the installation was easy
5/5

At the time I purchased the air lift 5000 for my 2017 Ram 1500 crew cab, I did not realize that I had to make permanent modifications to the truck's frame to install it. This was not something I wanted to do to a truck with 200 miles on it. Those tires were returned and I purchased these so that I could tow my 31 ft travel trailer that weighs 640lbs with ease. When my family goes camping, I also carry 200 pounds of weight in the bed. It was fast to ship the items, and they were in good condition when they arrived. Several reviews seemed to differ on how to install the bags, so I decided to find out, since there were so many. The most common style does not include a lift to lift the truck into the air, but I discovered that it is not necessary to use one. This installation necessitates In the beginning I removed the rear fender liners. There are about 9 screws holding the liners in place, and they simply come As a result, I chocked the wheels of the front wheels with my wheel chocks. To construct the jack, I used a 3 ton jack, as well as () a 1ft piece of 4x4 and (2) a 1ft piece of 2x4, but you can use anything you have on hand. In order to lift the rear with the hitch, I stacked all 3 together and used the jack to lift them all. Safety is my top priority, so I placed my jack stands under the truck. As soon as I compressed the first bag to make it flat, I tried to install it from beneath the back, but I couldn't get it Next, I attempted to go from the top, and I was able to slide the bag into the opening and remove the cap in under Connecting the tubing to the first bag and running it through the frame to the hitch, I connected the tubing with the second bag. This was done for both bags and I ran the last line through one of the holes that face out from the hitch towards the rear of the truck and installed the T behind the hitch. Tips for writers It will make it easier to slide the hose onto the nipples of the bags if you spray silicone on them before you attach them. It might be necessary to purchase more hose if you have a long bed truck. With the kit I had enough to cover a six foot bed, but there was still 14 inches left over after installation. As described by the instructions, I aired the bags up to 35psi and let them sit for 3 days. The bags were then inflated to After driving the vehicle for 40 miles, I went back to check the psi and it was still After a week of letting the truck sit and leaving it with the 33 psi in it, it appears that it has only lost 1 psi and I checked it four times. It is a great deal to purchase the Viar 88p air pump along with these air bags. It took me less than 2 hours from start to finish to install this by myself.

I hope this review was helpful.

I found the 1000HD to be an easy to install and reliable device
5/5

The trailer I pull is 6800 pounds, and my truck is a 2018 Ram 1500. The kit was used to level the surface. Then I inflated the bags with 35 lbs of air and set the trailer on the truck with the leveling kit. It raised the truck another 7" and leveled the trailer out. Adding 35 lbs of air to the trailer before loading it, and setting the trailer on the hitch, the air in the bags should be approximately 37 lbs. The pressure stays the same and I have had no leaks. I will update you later on how they have held up over the years.

A great product - I really like it Excellent way to solve the problem

I was very happy with the performance of the airbags. These photos show what the results looked like After the photo, there is no indication of a squat. At least 40 pounds of pressure were applied to the bags. This product is exceptionally well worth the money. It corrected the unsightly squat and makes a noticeable difference in the way the rear suspension feels when It doesn't feel like the suspension is being weighed down anymore. Featuring a variety of features and specs, this product will not let you down. Truck towing a 2014 Ram 1500*c/o Towing Package*b/o Dry weight of the RV is.

I urge you not to purchase! A new update! *br>I filled the air bags to 20 pounds when I hooked up the air bags a second time, leaving adequate line to prevent kinking
3/5

Those were the events of Upon checking the bags to see if the air had been emptied from both, the air in both had been removed from After trying unsuccessfully to fill both airbags, I filled one until it reached 35 pounds and filled the other to the same weight. Due to the darkness and cold, I did not venture under the truck to inspect if the lines were kinked, but the airbag behaves as before, as if there was a kink in the airline. Having done a fair amount of research before purchasing and installing these airbags, I purchased them with ease. As a matter of convenience and because I feel that I possess a certain level of mechanical skill and competence, I tend to do what I can myself to save money. After I read the instructions and researched these on YouTube, I was able to complete them. Although my installation matched what I had viewed, I still had trouble with these bags. The purchase of these products is not recommended. When you need airbags, you should spend more money and purchase something that works, or you can have professional installation performed. In the process of traveling out west with our trailer, our trailer bounced a lot and swayed around quite a bit. replaced our WD hitch, but it did not improve the situation. We decided to try air bags after speaking with several "experts" about the issue. Considering the Ram 1500 comes with coil springs, the Air Lift 1000HD seemed like it would work well. There is a bit of a learning curve to installing the HD bags (the bags do not fold well into the "hot dog bun" shapes if you haven't done it before), but it is something that In general, it is easier to insert them into springs the higher the vehicle is able to be raised. If you follow the directions, you should leave excess hose so that there is enough for the vehicle to sag when it is lowered. By routing the hoses (I ran them separately) to the license plate, I could use the two holes that attach to the plate, and leave six to eight inches on either side of the plate. I did not have enough space for six to eight inches. To make this work better, I would suggest cutting the length of hose provided in half, leaving all the extra It appears that there have been some negative reviews of the 1000 (not the HD) where the user complained that the lines kink. Kinking is a sign that there is not enough slack in the lines. A lot of room appears to be available for the lines above the bag. Leave at least a foot of extra line to prevent the line from In places where 25 pounds of air are used, the sway close to disappears, and the bounce is reduced by a significant amount. The 35 - will be an experiment for me It would be helpful if I could prevent any remaining sway and bounce by lifting 40 pounds. In terms of customer support, I sent an e-mail to customer support asking for information regarding the length of the sent an email asking if the kinking was caused by the rod or if the bag was the wrong size. I did not receive an answer. In the end, I called the company and spoke with someone in service, who told me the kinking was caused by the line being too taut. There is a simple fix that will require me to purchase more line, but I can easily At least the guy wasn't rude, so that is why I did not give one star for service/support. Even though he was not friendly, he was not rude either. Bottom line you can't go wrong with these bags. Our toy hauler is 25 feet long, and they did everything they could to improve the ride. Be sure to leave more hose line than you need to prevent kinking, and do NOT expect much help from customer service/support.

It was a bit sceptical at first, but now I'm convinced! You can't go wrong with them! The first time I heard about these, I wasn't sure about them
5/5

But I ended up giving them a try. This is how my 2010 Dodge RAM 1500 4X4 looks when I've installed them. It will save you a tremendous amount of time and frustration if you follow this tip If you have a set of spring compressors (they loan them free at O'Reilly or Autozone) then raise your truck up, remove the spring (Very easy), slip the airbag right into the spring with no effort, connect the air line, and then In their video, they show how to do it, but I cannot picture that happening. Despite what appears in the videos, the material has a far greater thickness and strength (especially when cold) than it appears on the table and would have been nearly impossible to feed through the spring in position. I can say without a doubt that they work great! Great! I'm very happy with that!.
