Questions & Answers

Is there a way to control the pressure to your liking? There's a regulator or something like that, right? Additionally, how do you drain the pressure off when not pulling a load?

Inside the cab of the vehicle is a control panel mounted to the floor with a gauge, a black toggle switch and a silver button. You can add air by pushing the black toggle switch and watching the gauge. By pressing the silver button, you can release air. I like how it works. In an effort to get to the beach for the Fourth of July, I bought my air bags a few weeks ago and went with a golf cart and a 26-foot camper to tow behind my Ford F-350. Overall, it was a great experience. You could tell a drastic difference in the truck's handling when there was that much weight on it. The price was well worth it. It was necessary to adjust the air pressure on my air bags to achieve the desired result. About 75 to 80 lbs of pressure was the final result of my pressure test. Please accept this as my sincere apology. Let me conclude by saying one last thing. When the trailer is not hauled, the air bags are kept at 10 lbs of pressure by the controller. It is just a safety measure to prevent damage to the bags, but when the truck is unloaded, it appears not to have made any difference.

Are air shocks compatible with this?

It would be best to contact the vehicle manufacturer for more information.

Do you know if this will work with the air lift 60824 air lift 1000?

Yes, it should work for you, Ernie. Thanks a lot!

Do you know how it ships?

I have received everything I ordered from Amazon with no problems, and mine arrived in a strong box made of Cardboard, as has every other item I've purchased from Amazon. I hope this helps.

The springs come with the kit and the product is of good quality at a reasonable price
5/5

The 2010 GMC 2500HD is equipped with this system. A full kit, as well as an Air Lift on board compressor and gauges, were installed. I just installed today and want to say that this seems to be a great product. There is a lot in this review but hopefully it will help the next user. You should not attempt to install this if you are a beginner. Though I am in no way a professional, I have grown to install plenty of snow plows, spreaders, and- Since I have spent many years working with aftermarket accessories, I am familiar with them. Even if it are just for the necessary tools, I would not attempt this without being at least an intermediate mechanic. In total, I probably spent about 7 hours on the install (alone), but I think it was an excellent I spent the first five hours just figuring out where I wanted to mount the solenoid, compressor, and gauges. A complete kit with on board compressor was done by me. I was impressed with how well packaged the kit was in the manufacturers' box. All the hoses, hardware, and components were included The instructions should be thoroughly read a couple of times before you begin. Their notes skip around a bit and they contain important information, but they do not follow an orderly progression. In some of the instructions, it suggests to use a torque wrench, which isn't even a resource that most DIYers possess. Unless you are only buying this kit, you will not be able to apply torque to the upper bolts as the instructions suggest. Don't rush the installation and plan it carefully. It is recommended to use jack stands and a good jack for this job. You should support the frame with jack stands so the jack can be used to move the rear end up and down to accommodate installation, not the axel. The instructions suggest you support the axel with jack stands, which is incorrect. Install the compressor under the hood, not under the Heat will shorten the life of the filter. I had to contact customer service for where their suggested placement was, because it does not appear in the instructions, and I mounted it on the inside of the frame so it would not be damaged by wheel splash. It was actually a Saturday at 10 am that they answered the phone. In regard to the airlines, btw there have not been any leaks after installation therefore, take your time when cutting them. Make sure the edges are not beveled so they are very cleanly cut. To ensure the best cuts I left plenty of slack not only for movement but in case I had to re-cut one of the cuts To use a razor, I used a sharp one. the airline into the fitting, you will hear a slight pop. To seat the airline, you need to push it in farther. This is probably where many people have air issues. They will pop a little and then slide in about If you practice first, then try under the truck, the hose can be easily retracted by pushing the pressure fitting in and pulling the hose In about 3 or 4 minutes, I was able to pump up to 90 lbs for testing. When installing the wiring, you will need to buy a few fuses for the fuse panels to be able to tie in the wires to the The price of these items varies between parts stores but is typically In the kit, they are not included. As a final step, I used the extra unions and the single manual line I bought to run a line from the rear bumper in the event the compressor fails to run while towing or just to make sure they are adequately inflated Here's an attempt to help you out.

Air pump of the highest quality - In a gauge You must control the When I purchased the Air Lift 5000 air bags for my 2500HD Chevy, I decided I didn't want to have to keep airing them up all the time, so I began looking into onboard air pressure gauges
5/5

It was necessary for my rear air lift kit to be maintained. My search was definitely over here, and I found what I was after. The mount is not difficult (except when trying to figure out where to run the air lines). It uses 1/4" 'Big Truck' air hose, instead of 1/8" air shock tubing. Installing the pump under the truck bed is easy and wiring it is also very straightforward. There isn't too much to worry about with hoses. There is almost an engineering degree needed to figure out all the wiring and plumbing right at the gauge when it is mounted under the hood! Instructions are crucial to the success of the project. Even so, they do not provide enough detail. It took me about two hours We spent a lot of time in the cab mounting this and 'cleaning up' so that no visible hoses or wiring could be seen underneath. The kit is great in general. If you are plumbing it all together, give yourself plenty of time to work out the back side of the gauge. Give yourself 4 hours because that's not too much to request. (It might I did well in 2007, but I didn't do well in 2008 My dash was completely closed up when I began, and it is not as straightforward to find dash lights and hot leads under a 2007 as it was under, say,.

We are reliable! The load-lifter 5000 air spring kit is a fun add-on to my Air Lift 57289 'LoadLifter 5000' air spring kit
5/5

With an onboard air compressor and gauge, having peace of mind is made possible. My friend and I tested the unit on a 200-mile trip, and we were extremely happy with the results. Easy installation and easy instructions made the process seamless. You are a passenger on the right. For the best protection from the elements, I tucked the controller as far as possible into the box. While on our last trip, a heavy rain storm brought concerns of possible water damage, however, the location of the unit or the construction of the unit itself ensured that everything still functioned as if there was no damage. Concerning the online portion of the site It was finding the right mount for this board controller that was the most difficult part. Rather than drilling a hole in the emergency brake release lever, I decided to mount it there. It is not obstructive in any way.

I like how it works
4/5

Switches and connectors at a low price. The kit is convenient and a lot more convenient than manually filling bags with air. If it had been up to me, I would have given it five In my case, however, the glass of the gauge appeared cracked. The product is kind of disappointing, and I don't wish to deal with the hassle of a return. I don't know what type of garbage they used for the switch and its mounting. In my opinion, the quality of the product could have been better for the price. Moreover, the electrical connections they send are a complete waste of time. They are all now soldered and have heat shrink around them. As long as you can get past the cheapness of the trinkets, however, it works There are no signs of leakage even at 100psi. Maintaining 5 psi is easily accomplished with the sensor. In the end I would give it a full 5 star rating if they did better with the cheap switch and electrical connectors.

The customer service offered by Airlift is excellent
5/5

A returned open box item was purchased by me and it appears that it was The screw holes were in exactly the same place and I did not mind it, but the gauge did not work which is why I suspect it was returned. Since I already ran all the wires and the air hose, rather than uninstalling it and returning it for a replacement, Please click here. Then they sent me a whole new gauge cluster assembly that got here within a couple of days of verifying my order number. It was not necessary for me to send back the old one. There are no problems with the unit, it works as it should and is not too loud as some people complained. Using my crew cab truck, I installed the compressor under the rear seat.
