I came across some images here that I had been looking for, but I wasn't able to find them straight away. In my cooler control, some of the bulbs in the package did not match the ones in the package. There is a green base on the left (rear panel view) of the control knob on early Gen4 4Runner models and grey bases on the other two. There are three grays on the later models. There are three gray base bulbs in this package which work fine.
If you use an SR5/SE then there are two extra, black base bulbs in the package. There is a pair of these for the Limited model, going in the back of the temperature up/down knob. It must be because I didn't notice that the lights for the up/down buttons do not illuminate, even though they have triangular light sockets. The light will only illuminate momentarily when you touch them, and it will disappear if you touch them longer. D'oh! (Duh, duh! bought this kit and replaced all In the glove compartment, I'll store the good ones I took out in a box so that if the batteries die I have spares. My preference is to start over with all new ones so that I do not have to handle this for some time.
Invest your own time and energy. Due to the packaging being a zip-lock bag, it was difficult to determine if it was an original part Put the bag in a lock. I found that the colored bases of bulb bases were different from my console's bulbs, though all fit and worked just fine. It is easy to remove the console, install the bulbs, and replace them. A lot of ways to do it You can find videos on the Internet. Until the bulbs last, the only question is how long they will last. Other than that, I am pleased with the Here are pictures of the packaging, before the console, and after the.
I removed the HVAC center and the information center and replaced the bulbs with those I received from the There were no identification marks on any of the bulbs in the bag. Following a comparison with the pictures, bulbs were installed. The info center was lit but was very dim due to being burned out. It didn't work at all with the other bulbs. Took the bulbs to Toyota and the entire center lit up like a Christmas tree after they installed the bulbs. The price was lower. The purchase from this individual was a total waste of money.
My console screen on the cooler came back to life after a blown bulb caused half of it to be out. I replaced all the bulbs in the unit in a few seconds. This 4runner is from 2008.
A long time ago, I had installed an aftermarket radio, and the bolt you need to remove to install these lights was removed during the installation. scrunched up, and I didn't want to expend the time to rethread it. required a small flat blade screwdriver, some tweezers, and a bit of patience, but it took just a few minutes to complete. I took a wonderful pleasure in discovering that about half of my bulbs were working again after being out for a while. There were still a couple of bulbs left in my sport model, so I used those. I'm guessing that people with limited trim will be able to figure out how to use the others.
There's a 2006 Toyota T4Runner Sport Edition in my possession. I didn't have any trouble. Since I forgot to take a picture before, I have no image to show for it, but half of the lights were out from the left. The link for the clutch was found on a Toyota 4Runner forum as was the part to replace it. I went ahead and ordered it and replaced it. I had two extra tiny bulbs, but like everyone else said, I believe it's because of the lighting.
Once I saw the cost of this kit from the dealer, I decided to look around and see if I could find them for a lower price. I think these would be an excellent match for the burnt out bulbs in the climate control panel. All the bulbs were included in the packaging, but they did not have labels, so when it was time to replace the burned out bulbs, I simply matched the sizes together.
The program worked perfectly. Despite the physical color of the bulb ends not matching the colors of the end cap of my 2005 Limited 4Runner, you can judge that by size and shape. My replacement only took a few minutes and was very simple. So now I do not have to guess and things any more since my dash lights up as it should!.
