The problem Despite loving the "Meep Meep" (refer to the video for the sound) of my 2013 Honda Accord Sedan, I greatly disliked the "Meep Meep" on my 2012 Honda Civic Horns, L. originally did not think anyone would take them seriously. Therefore, I bought these Hella Twin Trumpet Horns which provided a much better sound, as well as people being able to hear me clearly *Breakdown of installation The installation of the Hella Twin Trumpets was done very easily on my car since I already had a high and low horn with mounting brackets that looked the same. It was relatively straightforward to disconnect the cable from the horn, unscrew the bolt (without dropping it in the splash guard LOL), and cut the original connector off of the wire, so that if needs be, I can rewire the connector and install The wire (I think 18 gauge) had to be extended to reach the new horns and the horns had to be ground - I had to buy some additional wire and connectors for these. When you connect the wire to the horns, preferably use a terminal that will crimp allowing you to skip the soldering step. As soon as I realized that the horns needed to be grounded, I attached another wire halfway around a 3/4 circle connector to a bolt and grounded it with a 1/4 circle connector, honked the horn and . . . all was well! This is a great new sound!
Terms and conditions Using this $30 device I will be able to drive safer on the road and not hear "meep meep" within 15 minutes It was very satisfying to spend 20 minutes on it. This is an excellent product!.
There's always been something wrong with the horn on my GMC Sierra, and I've never really liked the sound of it. This set of high note horns was installed along with an already installed factory low tone horn that has been on the pickup for more than a decade. While it worked well for a short time, it eventually fell apart. Well, that's interesting. I wonder how you feel about that? I've had this hella horn less than a month, and it hasn't made a sound yet. It continues to blare for as long as the old factory horn lasts. At least I didn't go with AC Delco It is extremely frustrating that I have to make yet another trip in to change this junk out. I want you to pay me now, or I'll make you pay me later. This junk is meant to be returned once I install the GM horn after I order the AC Delco high note Evidently I chose the latter with this horn, meaning that I will have to pay more for GM later, but so far I have found it worthwhile to deal with GM whenever it is.
The horn is loud and very high quality, I'll buy another one in the future if I need one. The following installation instructions can be a bit easier to follow if you need them. *** RELAY
#85 pin on the relay must be grounded (numbers on bottom of the relay). In terms of power, the positive on your battery or any constant power source will be #30. connects to the wire that leads to the horn/or new horn button, as the case may be.
#87 connects to the positive terminal that connects to the horn (or horns). A HORNed report Each horn is equipped with two terminals. In the end, it doesn't matter which terminal is positive and which is negative so long as one terminal is connected to a power source and the other As I had 12 awg wire and connecters leftover from a previous project, I used them instead of 14 awg wire since I had them lying around. If I were to buy the supplies to connect the horns, I would use 14 awg.
The issue is this It is more common for OEM horns to be bracketed together than Hellas horns which have individual mounting brackets (this could be handled easily). But that's not the only thing. In OEM horns, there is ONE female connector connected to a wire harness that supplies power to Since the Hellas have only one female connector per horn, and no wire harness, it will not be possible to connect both at the same time. The OEM's wire harness is removable, but the Hellas connections are hardwired, so the OEM harness cannot be installed. The bottom line is you can install either one (low or high tone) but not both at the same time, which is how their operation is supposed to work. Because Hella and my Amazon garage told me these were a perfect fit for my F-type car, I bought them I have 150 and they do not have 150. There is only one horn for me to use! Here's the update! The following is a product I just discovered I don't understand this Dorland 645! The Horn Connector 215 is a ring connector. It's taking much more time and work than I thought (in addition to additional cost), but I should be able to get both horns to work.
I don't know On a 2013 Toyota Corolla, I installed this horn. Attached is a video that you can watch. Using 16 gauge cable, I attached the two ends together. The 18 gauge cable will be used for that pigtail when I find Toyota connectors. As soon as the update is installed, it takes effect immediately. Connectors on the horns are the same as on the stock model. That means that no cutting is necessary. To connect both horns to the original horn connector, I simply spliced a pigtail.
As a result of this duo's A pair of two-tone (two tone) car horns is a perfect replacement for my I bought the Camry in 2006 In addition, Toyotas are most likely to be affected as well. The old horns I used sounded like they had laryngitis, but these new horns sound as strong and loud as the built-in horns of a new luxury model car. The note on the website states that this item does not fit my vehicle, but this is not the case. Toyota harnesses are a perfect fit for the connectors. Toyota's original horns are mono-toned, one horn high and the other low, but these horns fit under that same pattern. This is a great purchase if you own a Toyota or Lexus.
Your device needs to be connected. This is what I used to replace the horns on my Anyone who has a Gen 2 or Gen III Toyota Prius, 2004-2006 These horns are a replacement for the meepy stock horns that came with 2009 (or possibly later generations). Despite this. The fact that you don't realize it is a 2-day event is very crucial This is a terminal horn, so there is a little wiring involved. I can tell you as someone who knows nothing about it that it isn't It is necessary to connect your stock adapter (after you pull it from your stock horns, then connect it to the top "16" terminal on the horn). Next, attach a ground wire (I used a 16 gauge wire with a 1/4" female terminal adapter and a 3/8" metal ring adapter) to the bottom "10" terminal on the horn, so it appears as shown in the image It's much better to hear these horns. They sound much lower and like the engine of The El Grande or the Freeway Blasters are the quickest way to get them over.
