At a reasonable price, this is a good meter

At a reasonable price, a basic digital panel voltmeter for auto/RV applications - a lot of light This isn't the DVM you're looking for if you need a 3 1/2-digit number. But it's fine for checking the battery or charging status quickly. Note that the meter is set to install on panels with a maximum thickness of 1/8", so we had to get creative with the routing on our RV's 1/4" thick wood panel.

In direct sunlight, it's difficult to see

This is something I keep in one of our service body compartments. Reading voltage from a distance is extremely difficult. Aside from that, everything is fine.
