Overall, it's a good product, but they ship it with shoddy wire

So far, it's been pretty good. I was able to easily replace one of my standard outlets with this one. They scrimp on the wire that comes with it. It's aluminum wire, not copper, and it'll do the job, but did they really need to save that much money? If you don't use a switch, the voltage of your battery will always be displayed. If you have an old battery or leave your car sitting for an extended period of time, it's possible that it will kill your battery. I left my truck sitting for two days without issue, but the voltage dropped from 12 to 12. 5 to 12. Take it or leave it, as the case may be. If you're really concerned, run it through a switched wire or install a switch. The battery voltage readout is one of my favorite features. br>It appears to charge my phone in the expected manner.

Excellent decision, and a great upgrade for my boat and camper

The USB ports were a must-have for me. The boat is protected from the elements by a waterproof cover. In the Camper, we didn't use the cover. A big plus is the blue Volt meter. I can now check the battery at a glance. Simply drill a 1 1/8-inch hole, tighten the screws, and plug it in. Wires should be connected. I double-checked the accuracy and found them to be identical.

Replace your old cigar lighter with a new one

This is an excellent replacement for older 12v automotive power outlets. You may need to make your house a little bigger to fit them, but they're great for charging just about anything without having bulky accessories stuck in your dashboard. Just make sure you wire them correctly for polarity.

It's a good replacement for old cigarette lighters

It's a good way to get rid of car cigarette lighters that run on 12 volts. Instead of USB adapters, I think this is a cleaner look. There's also Q in there. C 3.
