My tractor, which is usually in a shed when not in use, has this mounted on it. My first step in sealing an open area on the boat would be to use silicone to seal it off. In the past, gauge worked as expected.

It's true that these gauges are reasonably priced and affordable, but sometimes you need to compromise both on quality and you are lucky, it will last you for many years, but that depends on how you treat it and how well it is built. I would buy another one, since I'm able to afford it. By the way, it is made in China, but the Bosch name is on it.
Using your screwdriver, you can get better access to the gauge bezel by bending the bezel out toward you. You should not bend it too much, as it is cheap and thin metal. It's easy to read and has a nice finish. This was installed in my 1965 Chevrolet C10 pickup truck. Having an ammeter like this is far superior to the stock version.
My 2016 Ford Truck had no way of measuring voltage, which I found frustrating. When my alternator is charging, I'd like to know if it's working, and I have no idea unless I use a meter. I like the fact that it is easy to set up, and it provides what I need.
There is a protective area on my boat where I installed this temp gauge. Within a few months, the glass became fogged up and the mounting ring began to corrode. Please do not order this if you are planning to use it in a humid or moist environment. The quality of Bosch was much better than I expected!.
I was able to use it for a week without any problems. I just pressed stop, but it didn't respond. The warranty with Bosch still remains up in the air and it is too late to return the item. Something else should be purchased.
The Bosch voltage meter cleared up that confusion for me since my lawn tractor did not have a voltage meter and I did not know the state of my charging system. Now that I can see the actual voltage reading actually being read while I mow, I have more peace of mind. This is a highly recommended book.
A decent gauge, but not very detailed. The voltage remains consistent as it never varies during voltage fluctuations as it might with a more accurate gauge.
Whenever it goes bad, you don't have to disconnect all the other gauges running on your vehicle, so when it does need to be returned, you won't have to put it out of service because only one gauge is working. Can you describe what I mean by that?.
