In the next few days, I will check the RPM on I liked it very much. The chainsaw became more powerful when I set it to high speed. Hold the device close to the spark plug to determine the speed at which you want to drive. There's no way I'm going to blow up my chainsaw. In my case, I set it 500 rpm below the maximum RPM of 12,000. The value I have set is It works great. I would recommend 11500 tone just to be on the safe side. The RPM speed of my lawn mowers is going to be tested in the coming weeks.
I bought this to replace a different brand hour meter that died after only 10 hours on my generator. I've had about 80 hours with it so far and it works fine. It was easy to mount the meter, wrap the included wire around the spark plug wire, and mount it. Seeing the rpms when the generator is running is enjoyable for me. If it is turned off, only the hours will be shown on the display.
The engine RPM is displayed when you start it up and when you shut it down, it displays your use hours. Simple to install and use, so no regrets for me.
Although the tach has a wire to wind around the sparkplug wire, with the chainsaw cover off, you can just place the tach against the plug wire and get the rpm reading without any additional wiring. It's a great product.
As I wanted to mount it to a JD lawn tractor, the wire was so short that I couldn't do it. Can you substitute a longer wire? I'm not sure what you might suggest.
I like it. Their small size, easy installation, and functionality make them ideal for use in small spaces. We can't take them on. The more I need, the more I will buy.

It is the perfect rpm gauge for checking carburetors on chainsaws. When idling, it seems that the rpms vary a bit, but it's close enough to make a reasonable I have tuned 4 saws with this gauge and all of them are running great, so I assume the tachometer is pretty.
