You follow the instructions, and it remains the same. Temp only reads in Celsius

Tachometer is more than 250 RPM off, have set it several times the way it's supposed to be.

There are some instructions missing from this wiring diagram. If you intend to use it on a bass boat, you will have to mount it back near the engine. Additionally, it is too short to connect the wiring, and a wire runs along the wrapping spark plug wire that is not visible in the wiring diagram that came with the gauge. There is no indication of where this wire is even connected. Additional information is available upon request. My refund will be reduced by six dollars, since I had to pay to return this item. I guess this is one of the problems with buying online. Bringing this item back to Amazon is the first time I have ever done so. It has been about 5 years since I first purchased from them online.

There needs to be more brightness on the display! This was installed on my Honda lawn tractor with a water cooling system

What it claims to do, it does. Installs quickly and easily. I have a problem with the controls that are OK but not really intuitive. My biggest problem is that the display cannot be seen with any amount of light. I have to cup my hands around it in order to read the text in direct sunlight or indirect sunlight. It's not easy to do when you're driving a There was one issue that would have kept me from giving it five stars.

Apparently, you have to mount it directly to the outboard, and the instructions aren't very clear as to how to do this. Furthermore, when you turn off the motor it resets to where it was earlier.
