Excellent customer service. Despite the fact that the hole had been cut out too small for the Faria, installation would have been easy enough. Faria's pole switch setting confused me, and I contacted support for answers. Jason from Faria called me back within minutes, and he gave me the solution I needed. I had no problems with the tachometer until the speed reached 5200 rpms, smooth, and the needle did not jump around. will quit, however, if the rpms are above 5200. It will not start again until the rpms are within As Jason called me back, he gave me some things to try, and if none of these work, I may send the tach in for bench testing. One of the best customer care experiences I've ever had. I will update the review once I have a chance to try out the lake fixes.
I'm very happy with this device. It provides accurate readings when compared to digital tach charts. I like how this looks and how easy it is I would have liked the directions for adjusting the unit to be a little clearer, but with only four options, it is easy to understand.
I used this to replace an old tachometer on a FourWinns Freedom 170 from 1989. 2. IB/OB An OMC 4 cylinder cobra engine with a 3L displacement. The original is the same size. Set the back dail to position 1 and only used 3 of the 4 wire posts. I love how it works, and how it looks.
The tachs on my 79 Silverton were used on it. I am pleased with their performance. Their appearance is very similar to that of the originals, since they fit right in the original holes.
Their tech support is excellent if you need it! Easy to install and easy to use!.
Although I want to use the gauge, the installation does not work, the console is to thick, perhaps i will have to get creative with the hardware, or I will be left with about 300 gauges I cannot access!.
Replaced my old Tracker gauge on my 1989 Tracker 1600TF that had served me for 30 years. I did not have to modify the factory hole because it fit just fine. A clean look is achieved by simply wiring up and mounting.
