Questions & Answers
You may be able to achieve the same result with a 12 cylinder engine if you do some Although purchased to set low and high rpm on a twin-cylinder, four-cycle engine, we found this tachometer to be inaccurate, cumbersome, and difficult to use. The readings did not meet my purpose due to their wide variety. I would not recommend this.
This should be the case
If you hook it up on 4 cylinders, you have 3 cylinder options if you hook it up on 2 cylinders, you have one option If you have the 2 and 4cln you should be able to get the RPM. As for the prop selection, you might want to ask a dealer for the best prop
The four-stroke motor works on two-stroke as well, I have a 4 stroke and a two-stroke, so it should work

The small engine repair shop I run is owned by me. The thing I have to do when tuning engines is to adjust the low idle, and wide open throttle of mowers. I had to buy this tach meter since my old one broke. With such a good price tag, this meter is very good for a small engine shop. It has the durability necessary for such use, without the price tag associated with a Fluke automotive meter. A pickup induction system is used for measuring RPM on this tachometer. If the sparkplug wire is directly connected to the alligator clip, or if the negative output from the engine coil is attached, both can be used. With this meter, you can also check the sparkplug with the meter while the sparkplug is still connected, so it will pick up the reading wirelessly. It has a reading of 2 on it There is a wide variety of 1 to 4 cylinder engines. Besides reading 2, it can also write There are two types of cycle engines those that fire every revolution and those that fire Besides reading 4- it can also write 2- A cycle engine has a cylinder count of 1 to 6. The device can also read a 4-digit number One revolution engine that fires every other revolution or one revolution at a time. Obtain the meter's settings for the type of engine you plan on reading from is very straightforward. As an added bonus this meter comes with a backlight that will help you read the meter in the dark, plus it even includes a flashlight, but it is pretty inadequate, so don't expect much from it. The reason I am giving this meter a 4-star rating is because It is the accuracy issues that cause it to receive only 3 stars. A major problem is it not being able to correctly give readings within 200-350 feet. It should be less than MS. You will be able to read the reading in 750-800 I think 750-800 is pretty close During the reading process, MS may as well feel like an entire second, since that is what it will feel like. The readings will move around a lot if your engine is running rough. While it would appear accurate in some ways, the fact that it doesn't update quickly leads to the impression it is Likewise, while revving the engine, it is very slow to respond, so if you want an instant reading, you are far better off using an analog tachometer. You can keep up with the speed if you slowly increase throttle instead of revving it, and will have a good solid reading when your speed increases. you consider this a good estimate for a small engines In light of the fact that it was designed for that purpose, A shop using this meter, however, will not be satisfied with its accuracy. When working in an automotive shop, it is obvious that you will have the money for an expensive Fluke meter, so if you're an auto technician, I would just go with that. Check out the video on Youtube of this meter in action, to help you make a I give it 4 stars out of 5!.
The product did not work when it was A total of five different engines were tested, both single and multicycle, both 2 and 4 cycle There are cylinders. Originally, I was only able to read 0 all the time. Turns out my friend had another tach I could borrow that also works via inductive pickup, and that Having said that, it didn't work at all and when I tried to return it, I received a warning that it contained hazardous materials and I had to have it disposed of.
What do you mean? Device has the same appearance as any other electronic device. But when I looked back at the packaging, I saw that it had a small warning label stating that the product contains lead and DEHP, and to wash your hands thoroughly after handling this! DEHP has been linked to serious reproductive problems in men according to Wikipedia. I lost the possibility of becoming a mother in the future not only because this product did not work, but because it also did not work. Thank you guys so much for your help.
The purpose of this purchase was to test a 1 cylinder, 4 cycle, 2 HP engine. My garden tractor's engine was a 5 hp mower. When I used it for the first time, the meter initially registered a reading that I thought was The readings would then continue to fluctuate erratically, shooting up to 4,000 revs, then rapidly falling to 2,900 revs, with no discernible pitch change in the sound of the engine. The device’s high degree of inaccuracy rendered it ineffective.
It's not as easy as it seems to set it by ear. You could even burn up your motor if you make a mistake, and then what will you pay for that? There may be a slight delay on the readout, but just hold the throttle open for 1 second and then turn the throttle back off. It will take you 5 seconds to get the initial reading and to adjust your high setting accordingly. You will need to wait another minute. Make sure the setting is where you want it. It only takes a few seconds. You may even be able to set the low side. The unit seems to be very easy to use and is of the best quality. You can calibrate 1 cylinder, 2, 3 cylinders, 4 cylinders, and 8 cylinders with the instructions shown here. There is also the option of selecting 3 or 4 strokes. It might have been a Triumph motorcycle with three cylinders. For the first time in years, my trimmer is performing as well as it does now.
After using this product for the first time, I was impressed. It is used for exmark zero turns. We learned that the engine speed (rpm) was important to the engines life since it is an air cooled engine. The recommended speed for running this engine is 3400 rpm to cool the engine Additionally, at these speeds the mower's blades will spin at a higher speed, allowing it to be much more efficient. After using it with the plug wire, I turned it on wirelessly. I used the wire clip on the plug wire for my first usage. In almost all cases, both methods produced identical results. Within a few days I will be using it on chainsaws, string trimmers, and blowers. You can expect it to be a great help when setting carburetors with these small two-stroke engines. It is highly recommended you use the EZ Tach Plus.
