You have to remember that airboats do not use marine motors. Most likely, they are powered by aircraft engines or cars/trucks... just so you know

It is the diameter of the inside of the This tachometer would need a slightly larger hole than a 2" gauge would require, similar to a 2 1/4" gauge needing 2 1/16". You asked a good question. Thank you.

Several tachometers are available on the web, but I chose this one based on its ratings for my VW 1600 engine. In my experience, other ratings are not the same as mine. When it is running at lower RPMs (up to around 4K), it seems to be fine, but as it reaches 5K, it will bounce up and down very wildly, sometimes with the needle going all the way back to zero. Driving on smooth pavement is like this. My connections have been double and triple checked, as instructed by their support team. It still does not work.

This is just like a super tach from the Sun! That's cool! A tach like that is where it's at! It looks and works exactly like a sun super tach, so I put it in my 1969 427 4speed Camaro and I absolutely love it! The mounting hardware comes with the power supply and an extra length of wire, and the instructions are very easy to read

Electronic ignition is compatible with this product. The interface looks just like SUN Super Tach II, which I would not be able to use. It's just too old school and it's this point type that's not compatible. They are both brand new and still in their original The two objects seem similar when viewed side by side.

It is nice to replace the bulb instead of the entire gauge since it can be replaced. replaced the bulb with a green one. Although my fingers were greasy when I took this photo (my hands were greasy), it is still a nice gauge I installed in my home-made There is no cheap plastic in this chair, but solid steel, chrome, It comes with mounting brackets for the column I did not use and hook up wires. It is a gauge I would recommend.

There are a lot of fogs today I installed it into my 1965 VW beetle's steering column and it seems to be fogged up half the time

have attached this tach to my 1955 Chevy truck and it works just fine. The instructions are clear and there are enough long My tool of choice to mount the tachometer on the steering column was a hose clamp. The tach is exactly what I needed.

After October 5th, when I am scheduled to have it professionally removed, I cannot return this. Due to my physical limitations, I cannot get under the dash to remove it before my appointment with my mechanic on Oct. 5th. My response has eluded me for some time. I may have missed a reply.
