wire is a tachometer connection, and the red wire is 12 volts. It needs to be powered 12 volts with the key on and the engine turned on. As such, there is no longer any need for the wires to the coils.
HEI caps can be connected directly to this.
is wrong with the box. It may be reused after it is taken out of the vehicle. Unplug it and take it out.
A green wire is for the tach signal and a red wire is for the positive signal

If you use two separate plugs, you run the risk that the plugs will fall out and you will lose power. The BATT and tach can be guaranteed to be 100% secure in this way. * Made for dizzy caps with two single keepers instead of one clip in the middle (which is how both sides are done)* wires were good quality, and both wires were crimped and soldered with ease. IMPORTANT NOTE You should not use any points distributor wires when you are running an HEI. Points dizzys have much smaller wires and are likely to reduce spark power by as much as 50%. Engine efficiency and horsepower are lost (loss of power.
With the JM6508BK HEI Distributor from Top Street Performance, this product works perfectly. Using the original distributor on my old F100, I upgraded it to the new HEI distributor. The process is easy enough to be executed by a five year old.
I use mine as an HEI distributor, and it fits perfectly The distributor was configured to accept separate connectors for the battery and the power supply. The goal of this purchase was to add an afterthought This connector comes with several inches of wire - much longer than the worn OEM connector
I looked at an aftermarket tachometer and it seemed to fit better and snap more positively than the OEM connector
There are approximately 10 gauge wires on the battery side, and approximately 16 gauge wires on the tachometer (based more on what slot fit in my wire stripper than how the actual measurement was taken).
The HEI connector appears to be well made. The crimp connector I have on seems to be a bit loose right now. It's for a reason that these connectors were made. The job cannot be done by a common connector. It has been reported that some people have died due to a hesitant engine. The reason of hesitation is loose wiring. HEALTH AND SAFETY FIRST! Not a stupid thing to do!.
A TBI Chevy engine was converted to a carbureted engine with the HEI distributor using this. The perfect solution to my problem.
I have removed one of the two wires from the plug and it would not attach to the plastic plug. I think it's poorly made. The reason I bought two was so I would keep one as a spare in case I needed it in the future.
Despite their length, the wire leads can fit in. I am very satisfied with my purchase and it fits my HEI perfectly. There are long wire leads to accommodate a wide variety of wiring configurations, and it appears to be well made.
