I used this on my 1997 Ford F150. I really liked how fast it was delivered and the way it worked. A word of advice clean out any old broken gear before you start repairing it. Upon first glance, you might think it's clear, but double-check.

With these I was able to repair the odometer of a 1994 Ford Mustang without any complications. Here are some excellent DIY instructions and pics from Odometergears. In order to replace these old gears, I took out the cluster panel from the dashboard, removed the old gears, and replaced them and it took only about an hour. Among the items in this package are these Two gears a round one and a worm one. In any case, even if only one of the original gears is broken, it is recommended that both gears be replaced. It was a bad mistake of mine to only replace the round gear, which had broken teeth, but to leave the worm gear intact, since it looked fine. Three years later, the original worm gear broke in half and I had to remove the cluster panel again to complete the project. You won't regret both if you do them at the same time. Besides being very easy to change once you have removed the cluster panel, they are also very affordable.

While watching the YouTube video, I grabbed the instrument cluster and began ripping it off. The video shows it falling apart just like it did. I had some trouble getting the little motor out to change the gears, but I eventually got them As I took the car for a test run, no parts were left over when I put in new parts. The car worked for the first mile after all parts were installed. I had to get my big hands in and out of the cluster, so it was not an easy task.

The plastic gear teeth of my odometer odometer ford mustang 1998 were broken. It works fine with the back odometer I just installed. The perfect solution.
