The service provided by Amazon was excellent. This Eling appealed to me because of its classic appearance and easy, direct connection. On my 1951 IHC bus, I wired it directly into the headlight switch, with the backlight connected to the parklight lug. Underneath the dash, ground to a screw The pickup cable resembles a miniature coax cable and is securely threaded into the speedometer unit. I used a dryer vent sized hose clamp to secure it to my steering column, which made it very simple for me to install. I like how it's made, with two buttons on the back for changing the light color and the miles function. I've got it set to odometer and trip. When I turned off my master cutoff switch, I completely cut power to it, but it still saved the trip and miles, which appeared when the power was restored. Good! This was bought for an old motorcycle that had a Smith's "Chronometric" type before. I've been looking for a replacement that was the right size and general appearance because these older speedometers are effectively unobtainable (and never worked that reliably even back in the day), so I've been looking for a replacement that was the right size and general appearance. Until now, I've had no luck - There wasn't much out there: cable-driven units rarely have a cable and gear ratio that fits, electric ones require magnets on the wheel, and there wasn't much else. After that, there was this. It's the right size and shape for the machine, and it's also - a pleasant surprise - It performs consistently, with a stable readout and no issues with GPS signal loss. I only gave it four stars because you have to improvise a mount (although an ABS pipe cap from the local hardware store works well, it's not perfect) and it's geared to a negative earth system, which can lead to shorting issues, but nothing that can't be overcome by someone who owns an old machine. The meter comes with an external antenna that's attached by a long, thin coaxial cable, about 12 feet (4 meters), making it easy to route the cable away from (I mounted my antenna on the tail lamp mount, which provides a clear view of the sky at all times. ) br>br>(PS - If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "innovative The LCD display could use some improvement. This small, inexpensive GPS-driven speedometer is ideal: it's easy to set up, has a variety of back lighting color options, and, best of all, it has a working odometer with two trip meters! The odometer, like one of the two trip meters, keeps track of mileage even if the battery is disconnected. If you look at my photos, you can see the simple little receiver that I just taped in the corner of the dash with double sided tape; it's small enough that you won't even notice it, and reception is excellent.

I'm not sure what to say. It performs admirably. I connected it to a cigarette plug and plugged it into my truck's cigarette outlet. It's a perfect solution. I simply connected the two positive leads to the cigarette plug's positive terminal and the black terminal to the black terminal. Super nice. br>br>I like how you can change the color of the light. To maintain my night vision, I prefer to keep it on red. It works well and connects to GPS in 10 to 15 seconds. The GPS antenna is still functional inside my glove box. I'm sure there are a variety of locations where it could be placed. I placed it far away from me in the hopes of receiving less radio radiation (if that's even a consideration). It's fantastic; get it if you require it. br>br> It's effective, and you'll be pleased with the results. br>br>This is how I attached it to my steering wheel: a hose clamp, and a couple of other things It has made my life so much easier.

I installed the product based on the few instructions that came with it. Because the product isn't working and there's no way to contact tech support, I'm forced to look up generic instructions on the internet and, if that fails, return the item. The instruction sheet is without a doubt the worst I've ever seen.

For the past four months, I've had this on my boat and it's been fantastic. The price is extremely reasonable, and the heading feature is useful for quick reference. The GPS speed is right on and agrees with my depth finder/GPS units, so I replaced the standard wet tube speedometer with this unit, which was never very accurate. This speedometer comes highly recommended from me.

Mounting should be done with a 3 1/4 hole saw. It's very simple to connect the three wires. The GPS antenna is long enough to be mounted in any location. It appears to be fairly accurate, and I haven't had any problems with signal loss. The backlit light color selector is useful for matching other dash or toggle lights.

The wiring harness had gone missing. It'll be difficult to install as a result of this. It's in the box, I'm told. It was nowhere to be found in the box.
