It worked very well on my 03 Mercedes C230, so it is not trash. Also, it is very easy to connect and unplug. Be careful not to damage the cable when unplugging.

It appears that the screen has faded along the left margin only a short time after it first appeared. The system remains very usable, but we'll see how it works over time. The following is the description of a 2003 During the day, the LCD screen became so distorted that it could not be read. The local shop quoted $400 for the repair of an instrument cluster. The following is the denomination in US dollars About 450 dollars. It is going to cost $800 to repair. It was a good buy. I arrived ahead of schedule, and it took me less than an hour to install it. I could have done it faster but I had to fiddle with the instrument cluster a bit so I could remove it. Unfortunately, I could not find any identifying markings as to the country or origin of the food. It really doesn't matter though since the light is bright and works perfectly.
The project of replacing my faded info display on my 2003 G500 sparked my interest online and in Mercedes forums. This job was straight forward, and I am thankful for the Allway Cluster LCD display since now I can see my data in detail I was happy with the way that the product arrived, it worked well, and it was well packaged! Do not handle the screen by the ribbon cable, but instead by the LCD sides. You should also remember that the picture of the screen was taken in the middle of the afternoon, without any tint on the windows.
Fortunately, installing the new LCD isn't all that difficult. There are lots of YouTube videos that show you how to do it and it's a great chance to clean the inside of the display glass that picks up a little dust. Despite being a five star movie, I did deduct one star because the original Mercedes-Benz I was able to view the Benz unit with my sunglasses on because it was not polarized. My new unit becomes a blind spot when viewed through polarized sunglasses, so I have to tilt my head sideways in order There may be some people who believe this is a deal breaker. The most likely outcome is that I will get an official Mercedes unit because I live in Florida and sunglasses are a required item.
I will see if this makes it through our hot summer. It is best to use a long thin Allen wrench for removing the instrument cluster. All of it took me less than 30 minutes, and I was careful to go at my own pace.
The clarity is good, and it is less costly than the original. I hope it will last for several days, but I have not seen fading. Thanks to the makers for their hard work.
I have had the car for 5 years now. The displays on the cars at Pull-Apart have been pulled out by me The first two had the same problem. When I looked at them all, I had to assume they all had the same problem. When I installed this new one, I could still see the info in my hot car! I couldn't help but glance at it after installing it! As expected, there will be fading with this new unit, but for now, it is so nice to be able to see what I need to see by clicking through the options.
I have no problems installing it. You should disconnect carefully and make sure to follow the connection and contact instructions. This item was also packed carefully It is still in excellent working condition, and we are very happy with it. I wish you the best of.
I was so glad to come across a video on YouTube for the replacement because it had a link to the product and I couldn't believe how easy it was to I was quoted over $800 to have the work done by the dealership. In addition to the item's price, it took me an hour and a half to complete the task. I am finally able to see the display again after 6 years of not being able to.
