How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

By entering your model number, you can make sure that this fits.
All-in-one unit that includes a gear indicator and A-TRE (advanced timing retard). Display color is red (blue is available on request).
TRE stands for Switchable Remappable Smart Automatic TRE (which protects against overheating).
Unlike other units, the Gear Indicator calculates gear position based on engine and wheel speed and always displays the correct gear, even when the clutch is pulled in.
The Advanced TRE improves part-throttle response in lower gears and automatically switches off when in neutral, resulting in a cooler idle and reduced engine heat.
Installation takes only 10-15 minutes on most models, and there is no need to go through a lengthy learning process. It's also waterproof.

Questions & Answers

I only require a gear indicator. In a smart car, I'm putting in a Hayabusa motor. Is it possible to connect it to the gear position sensor without any modifications?

Yes, the clutch cover pulls the wire bundle from the motor. It must also be powered, so connect it to a main switch that also powers the ecu; otherwise, the motor will not start; you may also need to lengthen the wires to the indicator panel, which are only about 5 feet long. My busa is currently mounted in a race car.

Do I need to pre-install a gear sensor if I install it on my Hayabusa 1999? or do I simply connect it to a power source?

You don't have to do anything ahead of time, Wissam. Simply plug it in and start using it. The divide will have to be programmed, but it's a simple process. You'll be fine if you just follow the instructions.

Is the red wire connected to the 12 volt battery directly?

It is preferable to connect it to a power source that is activated when the ignition is turned on.

It's far too big
3/5

For my needs and mounting abilities, this display is far too large. It might be appropriate for some, but not for me.

Amazing

Thank God for this; I can now tell when I'm in sixth gear. It is simple to put together.
