Update - DO NOT BUY
3/5

It's a complete waste of money. It's been 6 months since I've owned it. Other than moisture, the inside was fogged with some kind of residue. It's completely cloudy and won't clear up at all. Let's hope Autometer stands behind their product, as cheap glowshift gauges are never a good idea. What a load of nonsense. br>br>Autometer has been contacted. They offered to fix the problem by disassembling the lens and applying an anti-fog coating inside, but when I inquired, they said it was done the same way when the lens was built, so you can bet it will happen again. They want me to ship it on my own dime, which is terrible customer service. They build a defective gauge, and I have to ship it under warranty? Nope. Give no money to Autometer.

Wiring is a breeze
5/5

It's a good product that's simple to put together. I keep an oil pressure gauge in each of my vehicles because it's a quick and easy way to keep track of the health of the engine. On my LM7 5, I had an adapter that fit into the OEM oil pressure sensor. 3. This was a perfect fit. This uses a 1/8 NPT thread, but each engine will have its own, so look up your application on the internet. Run one wire from the sensor to the gauge, then get a fuse tap, something like this: Run one wire from the sensor to the gauge, then get a fuse tap, something like this: Run the wire from the fuse tap to the 12v on the back of the gauge, and plug it into an ignition-switched fuse near where the gauge will be. Locate a solid, unpainted metal surface in your vehicle, attach a wire to it with a sheet metal screw, and connect it to the gauge's GND on the back. If you wanted it to only illuminate at night, you could tee off a headlight switch or your radio should have a signal that tells it the headlights are on, but I just ran the lights to the same connectors on the back of the gauge, so the lights are on all the time the gauge gets power.

Gauge for oil pressure
4/5

It did not work when it was first installed. The wiring was done correctly, and the installation was done according to the instructions. I removed the pressure sensor and sprayed the sensor opening with 80 psi. After 5 minutes of running, the time gauge began to function and has continued to function since then. It's possible that the sensor diaphragm became stuck. I don't know how accurate the gauge is. A 5 pound weight is displayed on my mechanical scale. a distinction Either way, it's a mistake.

WARNING: THIS IS A GREAT PRODUCT
5/5

Autometer consistently produces excellent products. Made in the United States of America. WARNING! If you're working on a Crown Victoria, Lincoln Town Car, or Mercury Grand Marquis, you'll need to insert a 1/4NPT elbow into the lower access port of your filter housing and use a 1/4NPT extension to extend it AT LEAST two inches forward (towards the front of the car). When you turn right, your control arm will smash the sender out if it's mounted directly on the housing. It is kept clear of the control arm by moving it forward. My photo. I also added a backup port in case I ever needed it.

My truck now has a fantastic addition
5/5

In my 2002 Ford F150, I despised the phony oil gauge. This gauge performs admirably and accurately displays pressure. This gauge was installed in an Auto Meter gauge pod for a 1999 Super Duty and then installed in my truck. Everything you'll need to set it up is included with the gauge. To install mine on my truck, I had to purchase a copper wire/compression fittings kit. br>br>Any auto meter gauge would be a good investment. I also have a temperature gauge for the transmission that works perfectly. Both kits included all of the necessary items. I would also suggest purchasing ELECTRIC gauges rather than mechanical gauges. The mechanical oil pressure gauge, for example, uses copper tubing to deliver oil to your vehicle. There could be a big oil mess if the compression fitting inside the cab breaks or isn't tight enough. Please keep this in mind.

Reading is done in a flash
5/5

My previous mechanical gauge no longer leaks oil, and I replaced the incandescent bulb with an LED bulb, which appears to help with the fogging. An extension port is used to mount the sending unit.

It's fantastic

Although the sensor that goes on the block is a little large, it performs admirably. prevents an oil line from entering the cabin- space.

It looks fantastic and is very simple to put together

Gauges powered by electricity. My F150 likes it a lot. Used in conjunction with an oik filter sandwich adapter. Now I'm able to see the system's actual pressure. Ford didn't use a phony gauge.
