As far as I know, the resistor is built into the light. 12 volts is all you need
Get a 12V battery and a set of alligator clips and flip the positive and negative sides over to test each bulb. You won't blow them if you reverse them

Even though they are bright, I still have mine and they work just as well as mine.
As you turn your high beams on and the little blue light comes on the cluster, if it bothers you or is too bright then you may not want to make the switch to LEDs. Though it looks nice and clean, I would prefer that my dash lights are dimmed when I go to sleep. I still find the LEDs to be too bright even on the lowest dimming setting. You might even think that a complete conversion of your whole vehicle is ok! LEDs such as these do what they are advertised to do, and I cannot fault them one bit. I think they look awesome, very clean and well maintained. I've shown it to several people and everyone enjoys the way it looks, but they aren't the ones peering through the sun to see oncoming traffic. My body just doesn't react well to them. always dreamed of doing this, but now that I have, I will stick with the old standby incandescent lights.
However, the quality is poor! There is a tendency for the connectors (two metal rods at the bottom of the light) to break very easily when they are installed! 17 out of 20 purchases have broken!.
In the beginning, the colors seem a little too bright. There is no doubt that these are quite bright, as others have said. It's possible to dim the lights, but not to turn off the brightness completely, so the light has a different level than the others. The only problem is that they are too bright, but they look brand new. I'll likely take it apart again later and use a sharpie to tone down the brightness. Interestingly, when I tried to turn on my board, the top three lights did not Maybe they are never going to work, just looking at my dashboard you can't tell that it was ever the case before.
It is a very useful LED that has a resistor built into it, so you can place it directly into your car's cluster or other instrument. The problem was solved quite easily by simply using a silver marker to color the LED lens, which will reduce the brightness In addition, you can use any color Sharpie to obtain that color look. I just wanted to give you.
As soon as I created my instrument cluster, I thought that the colors were too blue. I also noticed that the other components are a bit blue as I progressed through the composition. The ice blue color that I think I ended up with is what they sell. Another feature I would like to see is the ability to select multiple colors. One way to do this would be by having my A/C light blue and my heat red without having to purchase a lot of things.
I want to make sure you know that if you install the white LEDs, they will look BLUE after the cluster is reassembled. Because the stock faceplate of the cluster has a slight tint to it, it does not appear as yellow as it would otherwise.
The bulbs are ridiculously bright when compared to the As a result, I had to turn my gauge lights almost all the way down to keep things in balance. It ended up being necessary to cut the wire that fed the gauge lights, and I also added some resistors to ensure The other lights were also inadequate in comparison to these, so I upgraded them as well. My gauges were manufactured to make yellow incandescent bulbs look white, so they ended up a bit blue due to the coloration the manufacturer used in the gauges.
