This machine measures the hours used by the vibration of the machine. I believe that if it vibrates and if it is placed correctly on the machine, it will accurately count the hours.

It is currently being used in a glove box vacuum pump. Since this pump is running 99% of the time, I wanted to use it to keep track of how many hours have passed so I could know when maintenance needs to be performed. Basically, all I can say about it is that it's pretty noisy so I put the sensitivity on high because it has very little vibration. However, if I had taken the foam adhesive off and laid this directly on top, it would still be the record. This thing will stay off even if I fold a small piece of masking tape to help hold it in place. If I do not stick to it, I will not be able to run this. In addition to vacuum pumps, we are considering using these to monitor all other time-sensitive equipment for maintenance. A NEW UPDATE From Aug 14 to Aug 17 Meter has about 1500 hours on it and about half way until it needs to be changed. This took me about 15 minutes to check the hour meter. The problem is not my fault.

This is an easy addition for my Honda NSR50R trackbike

I need a way to keep up with maintenance needs on this It has worked very well, using the adhesive mount and zip tie to mount it to the motorcycle frame on the left side of the motor mount. I never have to do a thing except ride the bike. It automatically logs the hours. I have 4 hours now after 2 Vibrations from the bike going to and from the track in the back of the pickup are not enough to trigger the unit, so that's good. I plan to get a couple for my other trackbikes that do not have.
