I was surprised how good it was! Before you put the buttons on, you should clean them well and chip away any flaking paint to make sure they stick. Decal applications are so thin that it is impossible to tell they are decals.
You can get these stickers for a low price even if you are not satisfied with the result. The first thing I did was clean the controls with alcohol, then take a permanent black Sharpie and paint Once the stickers have been placed, use an exact hobby knife to help align them.
It may not be the best solution to your issue, but I ended up scratching the plus and minus down to the clear on the original sticker so that I wouldn't have to worry about lining it up. But my sticker was ruined in the process.
The suburban is a 2013 Chevrolet. I like it

In the beginning, I had loved the decal sheet as soon as I had taken it off of the packaging. In order to apply these stickers properly, I had waited until the weekend so that I could take my time and accomplish the tasks associated with cleaning and preparing the unit. During the process, I had removed the HVAC control unit from my pickup so that I could do it faster and easier. My first step was to scrape off the old paint. Next, I cleaned the surfaces thoroughly with cotton swabs with rubbing alcohol. In the end, after everything was dried, I started to remove the decals. To remove the individual button decal from the backing paper, I used tweezers. Two of the three decals had come off perfectly on the first two, but the next one was rendered useless because the paper face had peeled off from the adhesive backing. It began to separate in the same way as the fourth button decal. In the end, I was able to repair the separation with glue, and the fourth decal was eventually used. There were some problems with the adhesive as it was There was either a lack of depth in the scoring or that was the case. When I had already applied many of the decals to the HVAC control panel, despite how careful I had been, they failed to peel properly from the backing. I gave up on preparing the control panel for the remaining buttons. It was just a waste of time that I scraped the paint off. I should have used a sharpie to fill in the blank spaces. I hope someone else has better luck than I did.
During the day, they look great, but at night they look terrible. When you drive during the daylight, then it is worth the cost of cosmetics. When it gets dark, nothing is worth it. Over the button is a sticker that prevents light from coming through, or at least not very much. It is much simpler to order real button replacements rather than stickers to cover the worn out ones.
Make sure you know exactly what you're getting before you purchase. Normally, this sticker is put over the top of the light to cover the rubbed off buttons so you can try to match the original theme of the There is no need to prep the surface, regardless of how easy it applies. It will not appear as it did at night because it is not original equipment manufacturer There will be some colors displayed differently and the display will be pretty poor. The other reviewers have taken pictures during the day that show how nice it looks during the day.
The following are my personal recommendations Before you install the new paint, do not remove all the original paint. Make sure the buttons are clean with alcohol and allow them Place the decals where you want them and apply them. My eyebrows still look great after 2 months since I applied them. Easy to apply and very strong, the adhesive is a good choice.
The results aren't 100% perfect, but they are 99% accurate. Prior to installing the overlays, the buttons and controls in my HVAC unit looked terrible. The button looks very much like a factory button. It could not have been any easier to remove the sticker sheet. The material is nice and sturdy, and they seem like they will last a while. Follow the included instructions and you will not have any issues.
I hope I cleaned up my mess well enough to keep most of them on! Make sure to clean all factory paint completely before changing! This is why my edges are peeling, it pulls off the edges, and then there is no adhesive to hold the plastic in place. Moreover, once you've scratched off the old paint, you should clean your hands with alcohol to get rid of any oils!.
Despite the fact that I ordered separate sets from different companies, I still couldn't get these stickers to stick to the buttons in my car because the adhesive wasn't super great. In the end, I cleaned the stickers off, rubbed the buttons with alcohol and tried to stick them on, but almost every sticker fell off after just a few They should have had a diagram of where they should be placed as well.
In short, these stick-on decals fit just fine and are an inexpensive, quick way to fix GM's lousy painted buttons that lose their paint after some time. You can still see some edges peeking through since they do not fully cover over the button shape. When the illumination is on, you can see the worn off green glow piercing through the black of the new sticker when the illumination is off. So they look "better" than before, but it is not a perfect fix, but it is an easy and inexpensive method.
