A gauge on my car is reading very low, it should be read higher. any way to check if the unit is working correctly?

How low do you mean? This is the exact part I have in my 2008 Mustang. It reads 0 at idle and 25 at full throttle It is 30 when I am walking down the road, but 50-55 once I reach the other end What happens when you throttle? Is yours moving up? The manual oil gauge is now working fine after using the T fitting from my electric Sender.

Invest in a gauge like this, it is well worth the extra money

I replaced my old gauge with a new Autometer, a nice looking gauge that is more sensitive to pressure fluctuations As for the Ford logo, it looks good as well.
