There is a factory calibration for 8 cylinder engines in this tachometer. When installing a tachometer on a 4 or 6 cylinder engine, it is important to make the appropriate adjustments so that it corresponds with your engine's On the back of the engine are two dip switches that can be used to dial in between four, six, and eight cylinders. The only other way to calibrate is with these switches.

I love it. I have only one criticism- it does not come with a female connector or wiring harness, like most gauges do. It should at least have one. I'm the only one who thinks that way.
