The fit is perfect, and the functionality is superb as well. The originals still look the same. for getting these was that the caps had torn off my truck when I drove it off the lot, so I ordered these to fix that, and to keep dust from getting inside the inserts as well. There is a bit of a learning curve when it comes to installation. If you take a flathead screwdriver to the groove there and shimmy the auxiliary port out of the slot where the cap hooks onto the rim, then there is no need to remove the cap. There is a good chance you will scrape the chrome plastic part, but that will be the part you replace, so you do not have to worry about it. The auxiliary port will be hooked up to the main connector once you remove it from its socket. You can just shimmy that son of a gun off, get a brand new chrome replacement, and let it.
