Hey Mike, there is no length specified but it is about one pound based on weight. The aircraft lock wire I bought over the years is similar to what I bought many years ago. There is a MIL spec number on it and it is grade 302/304 stainless steel.
I would say In contrast to chrome, this is just stainless wire with just a couple of shines. It is not highly polished as that would make it look like

It won't snap easily even when it's cold. Warm it up before you use it if you live in a cold climate. Loop it around a few times for extra security, and you're good to go. Our old trailer was loaded down too much for a 2x4 and piece of flat iron to stick to the beam so we secured them with this stuff and traveled from southern california to washington without a hitch, despite a few potholes and bumps. The price for overnight shipping convenience can't be beat, and it does what it is supposed to do.
Specifically, I bought this wire because I wanted to use it with my I find it works well for splicing garden hose and I could use it on anything up to a 1". There are five inches of it. For anything over that, I would be given a A great wire to clamp is wire 041. However, this wire is extremely flexible, so clamping is easy with it.

I have literally never used a worse safety wire in my life. A 0 is usually the number I use. My old safety wire was 021" by another brand and I needed something stronger so I picked up this wire since it is much larger in diameter and therefore I figured would be more durable. In comparison to the smaller wire I normally use, this was a weaker wire. This is a total waste of time.
In terms of safety lock wire, there isn't a lot to measure. I think it's bendy enough, twists nicely, and hardens up well to keep the lock. The container was marked with a heat number to allow traceability in case of an emergency. *br *br * (Container is cardboard with plastic ends, but seems adequate for the job.
From securing outdoor decorations for Christmas to making a temporary fence to protect young plants, we use this item for just about every project.
It works as advertised, came on time and was of great quality.
I have at least 50' so far and it doesn't appear to have put much of a dent in the can. Good, strong, and lots of wire. Not sure how many feet, but it seems to have not made a lot of difference to the can.
