I used to have to use those cheap-looking plastic sleeves in the past. There are very tough (almost too tough to cut), but reasonably simple to use, and they look very In addition to the tight embrace the coating has, it is the tightness that makes them the most difficult to apply. They must be taken apart with some effort to gain access to the wiring inside, but that is what makes the system so effective. Inside a tough nylon sleeve, the wiring is well protected once it is inside the In this case, I'll choose the more difficult method any day of the week when the wires are so protected and professional-looking.
My truck's engine wiring harness had a mouse mess up the wiring, so I used this on it. Most manufacturers rely on plastic loom (looking at you, GM) but this material is far more flexible and resistant to tearing than the plastic loom. It will definitely make sense to wrap the wiring with painless split loom when I need to add more wiring.
All wiring in an entire car has been rewired with powerbraid. With this product, one gets very clean results and it is easy to work with. As an added benefit, abrasion protection and moderate heat protection are also available.
The sleeving is effective at hiding wiring harnesses in the engine bay, but getting to the wires is a little bit of a hassle.
An outstanding job.
A clean house is what you need. It is well worth the price. Clean engine compartments are a must if you want your vehicle to look good. This is a must for car builders.
The product is excellent for bundling loose wires after routing and terminations have been accomplished, as well as looking good.
