With the kind of weather we had in Ayr, I never had any issues coiling it.
This unit is licensed for 50 amps and should work well with a surge generator up to 12 kW. I am using it with a 9 kW surge generator that surges up to 11250 watts

My overall impression is that the cord is very well-constructed, and the handle located on the end that goes into the electrical connection at the pedestal makes it easier to plug in as it is not too small and not I appreciate the handle, especially for a plug and cord that are as heavy and large as a 50 AMP plug. Also, with the twist end attached to our trailer, the connection is snug and it goes well together, so I'm confident that no water gets inside the plug and shorts The cord was a bit stiff when it was first laid out, but after a few days in the sun, it softerened up a bit, which made it easier to work with. Nice touch are the fabric snaps that are included with the cord. Cords are neatly wound together and the handle makes them easier to carry since they are kept wound together. Camco is a company I have purchased several items from and so far I have been satisfied with the quality of the products. There's no doubt I'd recommend this cord to other people.
I did not receive any response from the I ordered this product with a defect on the threaded retaining ring and the maker has yet to respond about replacing it. The cord is heavy and flexible, and the plug fits well, but mine came with a defect on the retaining ring.
Getting it delivered quickly and fitting perfectly is a pleasure. This cord is not overly stiff and I have never had a circuit trip over a 50 amp plug, but that used to happen a lot over a 30 amp plug. I expected a sturdy building to last me a long time. It should be noted that I work with heavy gauge electrical cables every day at work, so I am satisfied with my.
In addition to being flexible and lightweight, Camco 50 amp power cables provide far more power. In order to ease the locking process, it is suggested to lubricate a stainless steel fitting with silicone spray before plugging it into the camper.
It is very flexible and plugs directly into my GE inlet box. My box does not have a provision to engage the locking ring, however it is not necessary for me.
It seems to be good quality though. It looks well constructed, but I'd like them to include a 15 or 30 degree male end so that it would fit more easily in the generator. Even straight would be fine with a home-engineered.
I feel they are worth it despite being a bit more expensive compared to other grips I've seen, since they are very sturdy and have grips on ends.
In case anyone is wondering, despite the fact that it was an open box, it was like This product worked like a charm for my trailer, and it is very well made.
