This should work with an 8 as well. Could you tell me what the diameter of the wire is?

I used this on my Taylor 8mm wires and it worked well. On 8, I am sure they will work just as well. I used wires no larger than 2 mm.

Will these hold up to heat?

I have them in my boat (very hot bilge) and my hot rod that I built. They are very well made and very heat resistant.

Works only with wires with a diameter of 10 mm

It shows up when searching incorrectly Wires larger than 10mm cannot be used with this item It wasn't until two days later that I realized I was too late to return the item.

A pain to install but when it is done, it has a very slick appearance. A safe distance should be maintained between the wires and hot objects. Make sure you don't whack up too hard on the bolts holding the plastic It would be nice if they had a metal insert so they would be less prone to crushing. The information I was looking for was right here.
