I needed this to protect an electrical harness on my car from excessive heat caused by the headers. The conduit looks awesome, can be trimmed easily with scissors, has a longitudinal slit that makes installation easy and shouldn't drip like my original polyethylene conduit did! I ordered it on Thursday, January 26, with a delivery target of February 7. (I had and still have some backup manifold wrap around the electrical harness to protect it. )br>I ordered it on Thursday, January 26, with a delivery target of February Monday, Jan 29th, was the day when it arrived. What a cool idea!.
Getting these for our free range house bunny has been helpful in preventing damage to cables, chargers, and power cords. It is the first time since we tame all the loose cords and cables that I have not lost a cord. There is no doubt that it takes at least two lengths of tape to fully cover any power cord, sometimes even more if the cable is extremely In addition, it can be tricky to figure out how to thread the cord through the slit, especially if you're not used to it. Although I am not a big fan of arthritis, I am so glad that I have something to protect not only the silly bunny, but all the electrically powered gadgets in his room.
My 04 HD Road King's brake lines looked rather plain and drab after getting this job done. The little pop they get from this lets them stand out. They were tied together with chrome cable ties at both ends. There is no longer anything ordinary about it.
Plastic is cheap so it's not much use. Part was described on Amazon and I expected it to be as good as it was described. A restocking fee of "up to 50%" is charged by the seller to add insult to injury. My hope is that Amazon will see through these types of companies and ban them. They seem more interested in ripping off customers than making quality products.
What I thought would be a thin piece of aluminum or something would be metal. What it looks like to me is actually just plastic with metallic spray paint on it.
No armor is applied to the hose. There might have been something I didn't understand when I bought it. There were no metal parts on the loom, as I thought. The aim of this project is to protect the propane hose from rodents chewing on it. As a result, there is a layer of chrome plastic over the wire. Honestly, I don't think it will be much use. Rather than armoring the hose, it serves for aesthetics only.
Our chinchillas chew on the wires in the house so the wire guards helped keep them from chewing them We have two daft dogs who chew everything, you have to watch them every minute) they work great, the chins stay away from the wires now that I am considering a larger size for the chair legs.
This product is executed in excellent chrome and in a heavier gauge than I have used in the past.
