Can I use this for a 1300 VW?

There is no way for this to work on your original 1300 stock distributor since it is a vacuum advance style. A centrifugal advance style VW distributor can be used with this. This applies to both the condenser and points. might also be able to replace the existing distributor with a 009 Bosch centrifugal style distributor.

6V Porsche owners. My own experience was the last of three, and that third one was the last I owned. I tried three times these days and they worked very well when they worked you'll be lying dead by the roadside. In the first few months after installation, the motor failed for the first time. I luckily kept my original points in my glovebox as I was skeptical of their validity.
