Do the lights on the side of the unit have the ability to be programmed? They can be used as rpm lights, right?

Thanks for getting in touch, but the lights cannot be programmed. In the unit on the left side are some lights indicating what RPM the unit is running at.

Is this a device that allows gopros to input video data to splice with it?

I absolutely reject that notion.
There is a special camera from AIM that is 100% integrated with Solo and automatically records video with data already displayed on the screen. There's a cost to it -- There is a GoPro camera that costs around 1,000 USD, but it is also not inexpensive.

You can get all the timing and track data you need from this unit
Software and setup are complex and difficult to understand. If you want to learn anything, you must watch YouTube videos. The only support is a help desk and chat room
There are classes, but they are few and far between with emphasis on advanced usage
If you're new to AIM and don't have high level software proficiency, prepare to invest hours in getting comfortable.

I have the version which has the OBD cable. The program works flawlessly. With so many settings to choose from, it's amazing how much flexibility you get When using the PC software, you can personalize how many screens you see what data to show on each screen, at what position how to label specific areas of the screen - all of this with your own labels. Don't let anyone stop you from doing It is also very good that the analysis tool is available. It runs out of power pretty quickly, but other than that I like it. The WIFI will not last 30 minutes even with the WIFI off It is not a problem to connect a cigarette lighter power cable or an OBD cable to charge.

I don't know what else to Gps laptimer for racers is one of the most popular features. The model I received was from the United Kingdom. If it is covered by a good warranty, it should be fine.
