It's something I use all the time on point ignition systems; all you have to do is remove the condenser. The points become nothing more than a signal for the box at this point. There's a tremendous spark here. This system is fantastic. I have about ten different systems that I use it on.
There is no built-in rev limiter on this unit. The msd 6425 is a good choice for an internal rev limiter. The 6425 includes all of the same features as this unit, as well as an internal rev limiter.
It certainly ought to. This box will work on 4, 6, and 8 cylinders if the proper wires are clipped (or not).
The MSD system works best when all MSD components are used together. The MSD Blaster coil produces more spark than the majority of other coils. For your installation, MSD provides online assistance. MSD standard of excellence. I've owned three of these units and they've all performed admirably. If all of the installation recommendations are followed, the performance of each vehicle in which these were installed improved. Keep a close eye on the type of plug and the gap between them. It's also a good idea to move the start time forward a little.
What a stark contrast. I'm working on an air-cooled VW with a high-performance engine that reminds me of an old Porsche. Spark scatter - It's been finicky and challenging. Hot starts are not good. It starts right up with the MSD - The quality of the work has improved. It sounds fantastic (which I didn't expect), but I can now clearly hear each firing - I also managed to widen the gap between the plugs. I am also considering 20% gas mileage. WOW.
I just happened to drop by. Bolts were all the same color, with wires and connectors color-coded. It doesn't get any easier than this, and my wiring will start to make sense again.
The best feature is that the lights indicate whether or not the device is operational.
It generates a lot of heat. It appears that thin metal could be welded. After a top-oil treatment, fired oiled plugs. Even though the plugs were fouled, I believe it was still drivable.
