There are two different control modules from Ford, a gray and a black The BLACK Module is the only module that will work with this. You should not buy this if the original one you already have is gray! There is no difference in look between the two modules, and their plugs are the same. It is not possible to interchange them! That's literally true. According to everything I read, this one should work fine on my truck since I have the black module.
