The following information was updated on April 25, 2020 This really blows, knockdown rating. I had one blow out a year ago, they held up well, but in less than a year this really blows. My BBK headers on a 95 Bronco with a 351 always leak and burn out after a few months after trying several different types of gaskets. I even did a grey RTV gasket. This applies even when the stage 8 bolts are locked. The package arrived yesterday with 4 pieces, two and two. I installed them last night, but only on the right side, because my rtv gasket remains good on the left side. My technique for installing the gasket is to attach the soft, shiny part to the header and the flat side to the At start up I could hear I had a small leak, so I took it for a 4 mile drive, it quieted down, then I drove it 4 miles to work (36 miles) and got it up to operating temperature. I definitely don't hear the leak anymore and it is much quieter now. If I discover any more leaks after a few months, I will update the post.
Two of them are made up of six layers each, while the third is made up of four layers. What the heck? It looks like I missed my return window, so it looks like a lost cause. A dead stop on Sunday caused the motor install to be delayed. The situation is not good.
They are the best. When you combine locking header bolts with a leak proof seal, you won't have a problem.

It is remarkable how well these gaskets work! It is only a matter of time before we can tell if they are truly effective. As far as I can tell, everything is going well.
Gaskets of excellent quality. The fact that I can reuse them if I decide to change headers a second time is great since I've used them previously on another engine.
