I was able to snap it into place without any problems and it feels It is an absolute steal when compared to other similar products. Ultimately, how well it holds up will depend on how durable it is, but for now, it looks and feels great.

I was able to install it without any difficulties. It makes a difference which way the gasket faces, but the instructions do not say which way it should face. As a result, I tried both angles and then selected one with the chamfer pointing toward the Jeep gas tube. It was not possible to fully close the door with just a push of the gas tube, but with some strong force it was able to close. As a result of the too-short gas cap retainer, it was fine with the original setup, and the too-tall screw is causing it to slip off. This short retainer prevents the gas cap from turning while it is being removed and replaced. Ideally, this cover should come with a replacement retainer that is longer. In addition, the hinge on the gas door has a small amount of play. Spring seems to be weaker than it should be. The overall look is good, but the final fit and finish isn't to my satisfaction. It would be easier to return it to the vendor and try another from a different vendor if it weren't so troublesome to remove.

To remove the clips, I removed the tail light (4 screws) and reached inside to push down on them. There was one little problem with the old one once it was out. In order for the cap to line up with the body, there is a pin. Although the door seems a little loose, it's not a major issue so you can only tell if you open it and bounce it up and down but other then that it looks and feels like one of the mopars, except for a LARGE fraction of the cost.

There were only two clips showing on the instructions to take out the factory plastic insert, not four -- my 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sport S had four. It was a real pain to reach and release the back 2. As much as it took to get the new clips locked in, the tolerances on this new part were just fine. The unit fits snugly and looks great when installed.

It is much better looking than the stock, non-customized one There is a gas cap on the gas tank.
