It's almost certainly for the 2018 JL season. It was too big for my 2015 Jeep Wrangler. The gas hole in 2015 is far too small. It should fit if you remove the stock gas fitting and look for a small hole near the top. To lock in the new gas door, JL has a larger hole and a small hole lock on top.
Yes. It was all "Mopar" in the one I got. Excellent craftsmanship.
I bought it for my 2019 Jeep Wrangler 2 door.br>I'm not sure.
That's correct. On my 21 Willys, I have both.

Yes, I agree with the majority of people that this should be a standard feature on any Jeep you purchase, but it isn't. With that in mind, this is a genuine MOPAR product that dramatically improves the appearance of your JL, and I'm glad I bought it. Don't waste your time or money on knockoffs of this item; instead, get the genuine article and be done with it.
First and foremost, it arrived in good condition and on time. The OEM instructions are not great, but they are fairly straightforward; however, if you have large hands like me, you will most likely just bust the old one. The tabs must be pressed. However, because nothing can be seen, the old ones are caught. Overall, it was a quick and simple process that took no more than 10 minutes. I recommend that you either tie off or completely disconnect your taillight. The plastic tab that holds the disconnect for your taillight's wiring harness will not support the taillight that is balanced on your bumper. I couldn't find a better deal anywhere else. Overall, it was a worthwhile investment.
On a 2020 JL Wrangler Unlimited Sport S, it's a perfect fit. The installation process takes less than 5 minutes. Discard the instructions in favor of a YouTube installation video. A flathead screwdriver and a T-screw are all that is required. 30 Torx. I didn't even unclip the taillight; instead, I had someone hold it for the 20 seconds it takes to swap the cap tie and snap the unit back into place. My only gripe is unrelated to the quality of the product. I simply believe that this cap cover should be included as standard equipment on all Jeep models, because once you see how bad the factory exposed gas cap looks, you'll want to replace it. Why should it cost an extra $100 to make it look the way it should have in the first place? Just my two cents, but I think the product is excellent and almost mandatory.
In less than 5 minutes, you'll have it up and running. following the viewing of a video on YouTube - because the instructions that come with it are a little difficult to understand. It appears to be fantastic! Genuine MOPAR fuel door with Willy's Jeep logo on the inside. Mine came in two days and cost about half of what the dealer wanted.
For a fuel door, $100 is a lot of money, but I had a gift card and decided to treat myself. br>br>The door has a nice weight to it, opens easily, and closes with a satisfying "thunk. " The textured finish is exactly what I was looking for. br>br>Installation is a breeze. The left rear tail light is held in place by a nylon bolt hidden behind a small access panel. You remove the light, then depress four tabs around the circumference of the old funnel and pull it out with a little hand gymnastics. You remove the old funnel's tether and cap and replace them with a pre-made replacement. On the new, a hole was drilled. The new cap is aligned with the help of an alignment pin. Replacing the taillight is as simple as pressing in, clicking four tabs, and reinstalling the taillight. It took me 15 minutes, 9 of which were spent attempting to reach the tabs with my large hands. A fun project to work on.
There isn't much else to say. If you want quality and peace of mind that the item will fit your Jeep, go with Mopar. I've had success with other brands, but sometimes it's just easier to spend more and not have any issues. Now, before you go ahead and install this, take a look at the following information. You MUST look for an installation video on the internet. You'll be sorry if you skip this step. It was dead on after watching a video. br>br>I'm not going to lie to you; it took me about 20 minutes to complete. We were ready to go after two viewings of the video. Removing the light to gain access to the area behind the gas cap and installing the new door required some practice. It's pretty simple once you figure it out. It's faster to do it with two people because you can make sure you don't pull on the light once you've turned it off. The picture quality is excellent, and it appears to be professionally produced. Sadly, yes, it is costly. Do I believe it is worthwhile? No, not at all. but. I'm happy because it looks great and I didn't have any hiccups.
This is a genuine MOPAR part that only took 10 minutes to install and only requires a 10mm socket wrench.
The part is of excellent quality. Trim and door are powder coated aluminum with a plastic backing. A good instruction sheet was included in the box. The higher cost of the OEM part is justified to me because of its superior quality and precise fit. br>br>Some background information on the seller. The price was great, and shipping was free, so I ordered it from a third-party Amazon seller (BAM Wholesale Parts). Despite the fact that the estimated delivery time was a week, they shipped the order two hours after I placed it and sent it via 2nd day priority mail. The vendor experience was fantastic.
