The process is so simple! The old cheap one was pulled out in less than 10 minutes and this nice one was put in its place. The quality of the product is great and it looks superb! As a matter of fact, I like the fact that my gas cap has a door now instead of just being THERE lol. The washer rubber thingy fits snugly on my gas line tube, which is a major improvement over my stock cap! You've got a great product! There are no complaints, making this one of the best products I've received in a long time. I'm very happy with it.
My new wrangler does not have a exposed gas tank, so I bought this to cover it up. On the other hand, the rubber gasket that is attached to the gas tank neck is very loose. I did not care how loose it was when it was installed because it could expand when the weather gets warmer outside. I also noticed that the door shut very well when installed, but now (a week later), the door does not shut as tightly as it did prior to installation. The amount of noise is not enough to be an issue, but it is.
In a nutshell For my first Jeep, this was the first mod I did. Installing it with my son was a pleasant experience. After figuring out how to undo the clip on the rear taillight, it took about 15 minutes (although this included figuring out how to undo the clip). There is nothing I dislike about the door, both in the appearance and the functionality. A suggestion that may work for the door would be for it to be held closed with a super strong magnet. They seem to be not so powerful, as there are two tiny magnets. Furthermore, the door and frame are out of alignment a little. There's no need to worry about it. It's not perfect, but it's not terrible As a whole, I still give it a big thumbs up (and five stars!! ).
It's a great piece of work that follows my theme "Merica. " Upon reading the instructions, I was under the impression that removing the tail light would take longer than I had anticipated. Although it proved to be a challenge, removing the tail light was much easier than I imagined. On the cover, you can see a beautiful etching.
it for my JL because I liked the look and the American flag caught my eye. In addition to being easy to install, it looked wonderful against the metallic gray paint on my walls. Although the black did not hold up for very long, now the filler door is completely faded, almost to the point where the flag is no longer recognizable. I've tried wax, Armor All, and ceramic coating - none of which works for me Despite their efforts, none of them were able to restore the color. In the meantime, I am going to try to find some other filler until I can find something better.
The only reason I gave it four stars was because I had to shave off a small piece of one of the locking pieces for it to fit properly, but that would not deter me from buying one again. The brim of the diaphragm popped into place with a quick cut with an exact knife!.
As my first attempt didn't have a clip that caught on, I tried again for a better clip. Nevertheless, I found the second one to be much better than the first. I don't want to say it is luck of the draw. I'm glad I was able to find one that was snug enough for me.
There was a problem installing the filler pipe. The rubber seal didn't want to sit right, so I ended up having to do it more than once. The seals on the Jeep are perfect, and it looks great. A strange thing is that the gas cap tether is at the point where the gas cap connects to the tether. If you fill up, the filling station should be lower so you won't have to use it for that purpose.
