Wix filters are not bad filters, but you should make sure that the O-rings are inserted As the filter comes off, the ring comes off as well

It is only because the price after shipping was more than I could have paid locally that I didn't give it 5 stars. There is one thing I like about this filter, though it doesn't let fuel through, but only water. In all of my boats, I use this filter, along with a prime pump on each side of the filter housing. If the prime pump starts to fail in the downstream side of the filter housing, I just take it off the boat and shake out the water and it works like a new one. There is only one occasion when a filter might need to be replaced, and that's when the filter canister is damaged.
