The price was very reasonable and the fit was perfect. It may be necessary for you to remove the interior panel to reach the clips in order to release the old door switch if you plan to replace this in your Z12 Cube. My fuel door lock needed 30 minutes of work, but I can keep it closed and locked out for years to come. This is a fairly new technique, and none of the other resource providers have written about it, so this will be a good help for a fellow Cube owner. It is advised that you use an interior nylon panel remover to clip the rear passenger side panel so that you can reach the back side of the fuel door release. With out wrecking your interior panel, you will be able to access the back of the fuel door release. Before you remove the panel, you should carefully pull back some of the rubber molding from the passenger door and some of the rear door molding to make it easier to remove. By prying up the flat part of the panel with a pry bar you'll be able to remove the two cargo hooks on the panel, otherwise you won't be able to properly reinstall the panel or access the back of the fuel door. Be sure to pay attention to the trunk light. Pulling the power cable down allows you to release it from the unit. As soon as the door panel has been removed, use a screwdriver with a short blade to press down the bottom clip of the broken lever. Push a thin object under the rubber seal and pry it out until the bottom tab comes out. Once that is done you can try to do the same thing to release the top tab and it will pull away from the outer side of the fuel door. Pull the whole assembly out a little to It will take some force to release the cable, but you can do it. As soon as you have freed the cable from the old release assembly, set the cable inside the new replacement part and slide it back in until it clicks into As it has been taken apart, installation takes place in reverse. Just make sure to put all the molding back in place before attaching the panel. Thanks to your help, the fuel door release is working Good for you!.

As a result of some mishap, I changed it in the parking lot at work after work. Since I didn't have to take any steps, there is no reason I drove around for a year with the fuel door hanging open while other drivers honked at me. In order to access the part, I first had to remove the plastic panel from the inside, but it was easy to change it. In order to remove the panel completely, you can only use the socket wrench or nut driver to remove all the bolts holding it in place, and you must remove the carpet-edging molding in the vicinity of the rear door with the latch closures. The issue is not as bad as it sounds, you just need to lay down the seat first. This is for a 98 Nissan Pathfinder. My cost was around twenty bucks. Good thing I didn't have to pay someone else.

If I had removed the bad latch first, I would have been able to pull out the switch instead of pushing it in as the dumb video on YouTube instructs. As I mentioned in the video, I ended up removing the panel on the inside, which was a pain in the a**. There was no need for it.

In this case, installing the part was very easy. If it came with instructions, that would be great, but I already looked at it on YouTube. As a result, I would recommend it since it was easy to install and it was the cheapest place to buy.

In less than 5 minutes, I replaced this in less than half the time it took you to watch half the video. The easiest thing in the world. I had my daughter with me while I replaced it because after I pushed the lever, I also wanted her to make sure the pin was pushed into the lever before actually closing my fuel door, so you may want to have another person or capture the moment using your phone. I hope this helps! In any case, this is a ridiculously easy repair and the part is perfect!.

The product I bought was exactly what I wanted.

My 2008 Nissan Sentra was able to be repaired in less than 10 minutes after searching to ensure that it would work for it. I opened the trunk and removed a plastic pin to allow me to reach inside the hole to find a broken clip. I took this out and replaced it with a new one. New clip snapped into place after wire was hooked into the new hole. The wire was fed through the hole and hooked to the new clip. The door is working on the back.

It was an excellent fit, and it worked well. The Nissan Pathfinder from 1998.
