Questions & Answers

Is this a direct fit for a 97 Miata, and what is included in the install kit?

My 2004 will be perfect with this. If it fits and works well for your 97, it should be fine. The kit also includes a new filter and bushings for the mounting. To connect the plug, you need to splice it in. Using insulated crimp connectors is all that is needed.

An improvement of great significance
5/5

The previous owner had replaced the pump with a Delco unit, which did not seem to have the flow rate and pressure the original unit had. Further, a crimp connector came loose after one of the crimp connectors was spliced into the partial harness. A loose wire could have created a spark, which could have resulted in an explosion. In my case, all I lost was time and money while I tried to resolve the issue. Almost all the parts in my Miata are original. With this pump, you will be able to upgrade to higher-performance systems in the near future.

This is a great pump for my Miata with over 250 HP
5/5

Remove the outer plastic sleeve of the DW200 before you start using it! It was very easy to remove the plastic shrink sleeve, and I am glad I did. The floating or falling off of that in the tank is not desirable. Possibly even the fuel hose was reused, along with my OEM hose clamps. There was nothing I needed to cut. This would be a great fit for a 1995 Mazda Install as if it were a plug-and-play system. In its original state, my pickup sock appeared to be in great shape, and the included one wasn't quite what I had in mind. Miatas may be sensitive to this part, according to what I've heard.

The best quality you can find
5/5

The day after I added a GFB boost controller to my 2004 Mazdaspeed Miata, my stock fuel pump died. The reviews I read convinced me that this pump was the one for me. Exactly what I needed. I'm not hearing it at all and my car is going faster than ever before. The idles are fine. Regardless of the rumors, this pump is working perfectly. I am not sure why some people have issues with it. Is there anything more you would like to add? This is so great!.

Upgrade your Miata pump to this excellent product
5/5

Our prices are the lowest on the web. Miata slipped right into it like a glove. The pump was purchased to replace a failing stock pump that was causing inconsistent fuel delivery issues. The pump is quiet as promised by the manufacturer. *Edit
In my experience, the pump is performing quite well and has more than met my needs after driving the car for a while and conducting a few tuning runs.

Plug and play for the most part
4/5

There was no connection to the OEM connector. Plug and play for the most part. Because the OEM connector was not available, I had to use a plug included with the unit and crimp on two studs. There will be female skid terminals at the top of the sender unit that are 110 inches in length. Miatas with non-nb engines were supposed to use this, but I had to break out my 1994 NB Miata for it to work.

There is just one star
3/5

A pump failed after being used regularly for less than 2 months. Replace your walbro with one.
