Because of the metal reinforcement in the filter material, you can push it over the O-ring. ring on the stem within the filter/bulb assembly's seat br>br>This filter is identical in every way except for the fact that it must be fully seated before the plastic bulb and collar are replaced - The filter must be crumpled or crushed in some way. If you don't fully seat it, the bulb collar won't be able to tighten the threads.
This listing, as well as the Wix website, both indicate a 58mm length for this filter. The length of this filter is 60 mm. This filter will not fit in applications where the filter cartridge must fit tightly within the fuel bowl. It's also worth noting that the filter media isn't the distinctive green that it appears to be, but rather a more common yellow. I had planned to pay a significant premium for a Wix filter because of its perceived quality, but instead ended up buying four 58mm generic filters for the price of one incorrectly-sized Wix filter. Wix is a medium-sized website.
It's fantastic to find parts on Amazon for which you have no idea where to look. It includes a listing for my Ford 1120 tractor, which works perfectly.
My New Holland TC29d does not fit. The inner lip that covers the gasket is too short, so you can't remove the filter without it catching on the gasket. To remove it, you'll need to destroy the gasket as well as the old filter. In comparison to the OEM filter, it has a much longer lip that protrudes down into the filter's center. I'm now stuck with three of these that I won't be able to use after ordering four of them in the hopes that they would work. It was a good lesson.
New Holland 1970, exact OEM replacement at a fraction of the cost.
In a New Holland tractor, I installed this. It was a perfect match.
It fulfills all of my expectations. So far, my purchase has served me well. It was fairly simple to set up. My only suggestion is for a lower, more competitive price; I'll go with the cheapest filter company next time.
My Mahindra 2156, 16 series tractor needed a different filter. The filter isn't green either.
