A friend and I got this for my 2018 Jeep Wrangler Sahara JL and we installed it ourselves. In total, it took me about 30 minutes, and I did not hurry because I wanted my paint to be done neatly and accurately. Other than the step where you have to press on the clips to release the original gasket, following the instructions was pretty easy. It was impossible to slide my hand in there, so I had to use a long metal rod to act as my right hand while I gently pulled the gasket out, while my left hand acted as my left hand. A second small challenge was removing the wire clips. After a few attempts, I was able to disconnect the taillight wiring after starting to loosen the bolts as per the instructions. I wish I had gone this route. This is what I wanted for my 2018 JL unlimited, and it is exactly what I needed. I found the fit to be excellent and instructions nearly as accurate as what I experienced. owned locking gas caps on my trucks for a number of years, and that commitment requires the use of a key every time I want to uncap the tank. I really like the fact that I can choose when to lock/unlock the gas fill door now that the lock and key are on the situations where I drive around and shall not leave the Jeep unattended, I may leave it unlocked for convenience, and If I park it at a distance away from home and shall leave it unattended, I may lock it. It is true that a locking gas fill door is probably easier for someone determined to access your tank to compromise, however, I am hopeful that at the very least the locking gas door will deter some individuals from attempting to do so.
